In Oakland, CA, citizens are hiring private security firms to patrol their neighborhoods. Their government can't afford police. I wonder what their taxes are like?
Don't believe that DD is on the 'friends and familia' list. Unlike the tax-exempt-Proctors which gets taxpayers paid police presence during shows..and remember years ago when Golub had an officer in their entryway on McClellen? Maybe if our police were paid to be at Proctors ...or paid by ANY of the downtown businesses...they could be present IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS. See..when you don't pay taxes, maybe you shouldn't be #1 on the departments lists?? |
