NEW YORK -- Math and English test scores for students in grades three through eight are released by the New York State Education Department. Many expected the scores to be lower than previous years because of the new standards. Results from the English tests show 31.1 percent of students met or exceed the proficiency standard. Math scores also show 31 percent of students met or exceeded the proficiency standard. That compares to last year's results of 55 percent in English and about two out of every three students meeting or exceeding the Math standard. http://capitalregion.ynn.com/c.....-assessment-results/tried downloading how Sch'dy did but file too large kept crashing. |
