Regardless of what BoxofCrap posts, the FACT remains that all of science is based on theories, and trying to prove or disprove theories.  As we gain more evidence and knowledge, long-held popular theories have come into question.  For example, few would argue with Einstein's various theories but in recent years new knowledge has stretched our understanding BEYOND what even Einstein could have imagined and some of his theories may no longer provide THE definitive, final answer.  Even, Theory of Evolution has evolved since Darwin's time.  One could go on and on listing the previously held theories that have eventually given way when new evidence/new knowledge came along.

The Theory of Creationism and Theory of Evolution are NOT mutually exclusive nor does the Theory of Evolution answer all of the questions.  Ultimately, I believe that God was the Uncreated Creator of the universe and every person and every thing in it.  As for the various theories that attempt to explain how things developed, I am not really worried one way or the other as far as how it happened.  I am sufficiently content KNOWING in faith that God started the whole process, and that God will still be around long after this world comes to an end .. indeed for infinity.

If I have an eye problem, I go to an Eye expert... an eye doctor.
If I have a plumbing problem, I consult a professional plumber.
If I have a car problem, I consult an auto mechanic.

And the one plumber might tell you to replace your leaking toilet, while another suggests replacing the wax ring.  A mechanic may say replace your brake pads and rotors, while another says you only need to replace the pads.  Whose diagnosis of the evidence is the absolute fact?

Funny to watch a whole army of straw men appear!

There are many forms of "atheists" just as there are many forms of Christians.

Do I believe in the Christian God?
Nope.

There may be a god, I don't know.  The question doesn't concern me much.  If there is, there is, if not
doesn't make much difference to me.

What you do know for sure, is that people should never offer theories to prove or disprove alternate theories of creation in government schools.  That you know for a FACT.  Darwin is the ONLY theory.

I support the FACT of Evolution.
Darwin has one explanation of that system.

I support the FACT of Evolution.

You accept the plausable argument as FACT.  You personally turned it into a fact.  You leave yourself no room for doubt.

What you don't accept is a side by side presentation of an alternate theory offered in government schools.

Alternative Theory???
Do you mean SCIENCE? Or a Religious Theory?

I don't know of any alternative Scientific Theory to evolution?  Please explain.

I didn't say alternative theory of evolution.  It would be an alternative theory to the origin of man.  Evolution is the science theory. An alternate theory isn't necessarily religious.  It could be as crazy as some alien came down millions of years ago.  I'm not saying that's what I believe, but I certainly don't think it should be banned from being explored.

I guess conservatives are a little more open minded about how people are allowed to think.  You feel thinking must be narrowed to what YOU accept.

So what Alternative theory are you proposing?

I only know of the Scientific Theory of Evolution, and the Religious Theory of Creationism.

Just like there are different sects if Christianity there are also different creation theories.  There is the old world creation theory that uses a lot of modern science theories in their theories.  Science theory of evolution is tested against Darwin's theory of evolution.  I don't see a problem with the scientific method to prove or disprove religious theories.  You must admit, religious books were written by men, just like Darwin's book The Origin of Species.

Yup!  So were comic books which are just as valid as some of your religious books.

So your point... because some jerk wrote a book, it's somehow appropriate to teach it in school???

How about:

Ahhhhh...Isn't that what you are saying?

My point is, YOU want to be the jerk that dictates what book is appropriate.  Of course because you know what is FACT.

Evolution is a fact.  A scientific fact.  I know you don't like that FACT but it's true.
