I think the ideal Republican ticket would be Kasich-Rubio or Rubio-Kasich.

There is no Democratic ticket combination with the current candidates that I would EVER consider voting for.

I picked Rubio early on as the likely winner for the GOP, but he would be a disaster.

If I had to vote for one of the GOP Clowns... It would be Kasich.

Kasich talks a good game but doesn't have the power or ability to fix the issues in DC.
Much of his claims are too much chest thumping....he takes too much credit and credits no one else...
he didn't do everything by himself. Also, his claims are a little exaggerated. Fact check him and you will see.

I think that we can say that about most - probably all - politicians.

And let's face it - the slate of announced candidates OF BOTH PARTIES is one of the worst, if not the worst, offerings in my memory.

Hillary - liar, incompetent, wants us to believe that she and Bill left the White House broke
Bernie - long-time DC insider posing as an outsider, pushing a tired. old, failed socialist agenda that is the only thing in this campaign older than he is.
Cruz - whiney hypocrite that poses as anti-Wall Street all while getting rich from his connections to it
(can comment on the others in another post)
So based on what is being offered, I have concluded that Rubio and Kasich are the best of the choices.

The Democratic field of presidential candidates is just plain awful.  Same can be said about its state legislative and federal legislative slates in our area.

If this be true in general, doesn't say much for the future direction of the country does it?   Oh well, that's the "system" our men/women in the military are dying for.   Rest easy the system will survive.

A recent PPP Poll indicates that 29% of South Carolina Republicans
"wish the South had won" the Civil War. Thirty-five percent are "not sure."
And one out of ten South Carolina Republicans are willing to tell a pollster that
they agree with the statement "Whites are a superior race."
