I guess you think that getting somebody like Andrew Cuomo in the White House will be wonderful for America, Box. And how is Hamilton Hill doing under Democrat leadership, and Arbor Hill in Albany? Actions speak louder than words like democrat or republican.

Yes actions DO speak louder than words.
After George Worst Bush... or Mittens Romney's proposals to give the rich more and more while
cutting aid to cities and the poorest Americans... How could anyone elect a republican to office.

I was a supporter of Mario Cuomo and now a supporter of Andrew.  Hopefully there is a time for
him to seek higher office after Hillary's two terms.

Because Andrew has made Schenectady any better? This is a man who constantly knocks our schools instead of seeing what he can do to help. He is the biggest phony going. Governor 1% is an apt name for him. How come we are having all these shootings? I thought he took  action on that? If he was great New York would be great. I am sick of these politicians using their office to join the elite at our expense. How did Mario become a wealthy man, in a career of "public service"? What's he done? Andrew, I mean? Gay marriage? Yeah, that was a life and death issue. People in Schenectady are having their homes taken away because they can't pay the taxes, and Andrew wants INCOME TAX free zones around certain colleges that employ connected people like Joe Bruno's relatives? The man is evil.
p.s. Sarah Palin could have done a better job than Barack Obama.

GOP Fought To Cut Dam Maintenance Budget In Colorado
– Now The Dams Are Breaking

The torrential rains in Colorado this week have resulted in flooding which has killed several people
so far. This flooding is made worse by multiple dams which have already failed due to overfill, with
dozens more at risk.

Why are they at risk? It turns out that state Republicans have blocked bills to deal with repair or
maintenance on infrastructure throughout the state. These efforts, done in the name of fiscal
conservatism, do not save money at all, and wind up costing far more than the money saved.
Several bridges and dams had already failed before the flooding, which makes the added stress
of the current conditions too much to bear. It is reported that over 100 bridges are unsafe
while the number of dams nearing failure continues to climb, with over 300 dams listed as at-
risk, and two dozen as of extreme risk.

The department tasks with managing the repairs for dams in the state is woefully understaffed
and underbudgeted, and the state Republicans refuse to fund any repairs in their push for
“small government.” This flies in the face of the reality of aging dam infrastructure across the
United States, with 85% to be over a half-century old by 2020.

If you want to limit government then yes you must stop it from the continual expansion, nothing mad about that.

Expanding govt with programs that help people get jobs,  in time of high unemployment is a valid
function of govt.
The anti govt addicts, want to stop govt...all govt, the good, the bad and the inbetween.  They make
no distinction between them.

jobs are necessary because...........

The government can not create jobs, it can lay a solid foundation which can help others do so but that is not what they're doing today. Less government will lead to a more solid base, its not hard to understand.

In the 60's there were jobs training programs for minorities and people who had no job skills or were
chronically unemployed.
I know of two people who trained in these programs and it was exactly what they needed.  Since starting
on these training programs, these people have supported themselves with out any other govt aid and
continued to work until retirement.
Govt didn't CREATE THESE JOBS, they offered training and placement for people who needed it... AND IT
WORKED!

I worked for a short time in a Jet Engine Manufacturing facility.  They partnered with the Govt to offer
training for unskilled workers.  Some of the workers didn't qualify in the training period, but most did
and continued to work at this facility as useful members of society making a living wage and with out
any govt assistance.  A success!

Instead of whining about "big govt", today's Republicans could be working on programs that help
Americans instead of working on ways to screw Americas who aren't wealthy.

who is wealthy in America?

1. land owners(either in food/oil/housing)
2. lawyers
3 legislators

we need jobs because we don't own land to feed ourselves...we need fiat to survive.....hence cogs in government training machines

who is the fulcrum in all this?
