GLENVILLE — Pilots will fl y three Vermont Air National Guard F-16 fighters over the town this morning. The pilots from the 158th Fighter Wing in Burlington, Vt., are expected to pass overhead around 9:30 a.m., according to officials with the National Guard. Known as the Green Mountain Boys, the pilots are on a regularly scheduled training mission that will take them over the Stratton Air National Guard Base so that 220 Civil Air Patrol cadets taking part in their regular annual encampment at the base can see the planes. The fighters are expected to make three passes over the area. The cadets will be concluding their weeklong program with a graduation event on Saturday. |
