I remember watching kids swim in a huge puddle at Yates Village when it flooded, the parents were even out their watching them. I could only imagine the crap in that water, oil, sewage, garbage, they probably grew extra toes the next day

Pools should have been well in the process of getting opened several weeks ago. But pools serve residents of the city instead of the rich political cronies of the city dems.
Pools are located in the neighborhoods, those places where people live and pay taxes. But the city dems are NOT the least concerned about the city outside of their precious downtown.
And let's see if ANYONE can provide a teeny weeny shred of EVIDENCE that the city leaders in the DEM party care about the average financially struggling overtaxed residents of the city, and care about them more then their millionaire political cronies.
Is this being negative? Probably. But, is it better to state the TRUTH in order to work to improve the city? OR is it better to avoid stating anything negative and just keep shaking pom poms and cheering the DEM's and not address the falling tax base, the falling property values, the falling home sales and prices, the increasing taxes, the reduction of essential services.?
Yep, let's talk about and cheer for fancy light poles on Erie Blvd at taxpayer expense, but we must NOT speak about the the people whose cars are being damaged by the condition who incur costly repair or maintenance costs because of the road on Erie Blvd on the other end---OH NO - that is speaking negative some day it's wrong to report the negative stuff, we must avoid telling the truth about the city. Just let the tax base fall some more, right????
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
How 'bout providing good sustainable jobs so these 'pool needy' folks can buy their own for their backyard? Hell...how bout a slip and slide? How bout a sprinkler?....i mean paleeezzzeeee!!
