By the way Scotia will be having their show on the 12th so there is a little heads up

They annoy the heck out of me as well, I apparently have relatively close neighbors that, during the month of July, just randomly set off something very loud. The problem with law enforcement really targeting this problem is that in the city especially - there are far more severe issues for them to contend with.
The SPD needs to contend with this annual event. On July 4th this must be the highest priority. It is getting worse every year and some with huge display need to face penalties. Lower Eastern Ave is as bad as HH as the renaissance spreads. Part of the problem is that there is no public display in the City. Thursday in the Park was stopped. The Gazetto wrote a stunad editorial ignoring this assault. Another quality of life issue that everyone pretends doesn't exist. Like the record County teenage pregnancy rate. 13th highest teenage pregnancy rate out of 3,000 counties nationwide.
What do you and your dog do during a thunderstorm? By the way what do you mean you tranquilize your dog Living in Schenectady I figured everyone here would be used to hearing bangs, not from fireworks of course
I have to give him tranquilizers during storms too. Summer is no fun. He grew into these fears as he aged, he's 12. I watch the weather and check hourly reports.

Yes, and Sch'dy SummerNight is the 19th. When I know when the shows are, I drive away from the source until it is over so I don't have to medicate him.

Sounds like this was made just for you

petsmart has treats to tranquilize too..works on other dogs.....and mine are the same way........so I know what you are saying....people who do not share animals in their homes....they just don't get it....rather hear the
Has anybody walked outside and asked the people with the fireworks to stop and explained why you would like them to stop? Of course not, instead, call the people in costumes and threaten them with the man with the gun.
I wonder how the dog owners would feel If their neighbors called the cops every time their dog was barking?

Does you dog bark during thunderstorms? I hope not, I wouldn't want your neighbor to call the police on you.

Just sayin.
Why yes, Cicero, I have asked. Do you honestly think that lawbreakers care what the law is? No, no they don't. Down boy.
Don't you ever have anything nice to say to people? Don't answer that.
Not to crotchety people that b**ch about fireworks because of their dogs phobia.
I have a neighbor whose dog barks for a few hours everyday. I deal with it. I never contemplated calling police. If I did have an issue, I would walk over and talk to him.
How far do I go? Tell the police my children have a phobia of dogs and the neighbors need to keep their dogs out of sight from my property?
