This interviewer is interesting to watch. He keeps trying to push his agenda on Brandon, but Brandon refuses to be led. Check it out:
Interviewer (Try #1) "So you'd become an assassin" Brandon (Not agreeing with "assassin") "I'd become heartless".(Fail #1)
Interviewer (Try #2) "You felt like you were a 'hit man' now"? Brandon "No, not necessarily...(Fail #2)
"I just felt like a sociopath actually, I wanted to kill these people... These were 'bad guys', we had their list of accomplishments" ( 'Bad guys' = Al Qaeda or Taliban, in other words, Brandon was killing the enemy).
Interviewer (Now desperate, try #3) How did it feel ...1626 dead people? Brandon "Disgusted with myself, actually" (A trifecta! Fail #3)
(good for you Brandon. With that attitude, you may pull through this, but not the answer the interviewer was pushing for.)

When did the Taliban become the "enemy"? It's been almost 12 years that the Talaban government was removed. The Federal Government is still fighting these goat herders?
Wasn't the mission to eliminate training camps? They haven't accomplished that yet?
Folks are sick and tired of being 'labeled' an ENEMY.....or EVIL DOERS!!!!!
This 'created label' just gives a weak justification for going into other countries and bombing the hell out of them and killing the innocent!!!
And now even the american people are being labeled an ENEMY.........BY THEIR OWN!!!

It was G Worst Bush's war plan. Like Iraq, a mess that he left for his successor to solve. Hopefully, like Iraq, Obama will get us out of Afghanistan in the coming year. See the Bush Doctrine:
Quoted Text
The security environment confronting the United States today is radically different from what we have faced before. Yet the first duty of the United States Government remains what it always has been: to protect the American people and American interests. It is an enduring American principle that this duty obligates the government to anticipate and counter threats, using all elements of national power, before the threats can do grave damage. The greater the threat, the greater is the risk of inaction – and the more compelling the case for taking anticipatory action to defend ourselves, even if uncertainty remains as to the time and place of the enemy’s attack. There are few greater threats than a terrorist attack with WMD.
To forestall or prevent such hostile acts by our adversaries, the United States will, if necessary, act preemptively in exercising our inherent right of self-defense. The United States will not resort to force in all cases to preempt emerging threats. Our preference is that nonmilitary actions succeed. And no country should ever use preemption as a pretext for aggression.

In five years, Obama doctrine couldn't correct the glaring non sequitur. Preemptive self-defense - really? Obama has increased drone strikes, so the Bush doctrine of preemptive self-defense is alive and well and GROWING.
And it sounds like this drone pilot is having trouble coping with the sociopath the government turned him into. What a shame.
Imagine being brainwashed into killing without remorse, especially on such a massive scale.

I thought Brandon sounded pretty healthy considering the amount of action he's been involved in.
Our war with Al Qaeda won't be over when the US gets out of Afghanistan and Al Qaeda's war with the USA will continue whether we leave Afghanistan or not.

I'm not sure that consciously knowing you emotionally have become a sociopath is the definition of good health. That has to be tough to live with, especially when there is a growing number of people in this country and around the world considering these killings as war crimes.

Cic... you have no idea. I'm sure your posts make sense to you, but they don't to me.
You're like a guy who's never actually seen or ridden a bike, but he read a book about it and now thinks he knows what he's talking about. If he ever actually encounters a bike and tries to ride it... he will find out just how much that he thought he knew, but didn't.

I really don't care if they make sense to you. I am responding on the video. HE said he felt like an sociopath. That by definition means he was unable to feel sympathy when watching another human being die, someone that he was responsible for killing.
There are tens of thousands of Vietnam vets that are homeless and cannot function in society because their brains were turned to mush. This guy may be mentally strong enough to regain some of himself that existed prior to being exposed to being paid to kill without remorse. Some people's brains are scrambled for the rest of their lives and can never regain their emotional health after being exposed to such a level of inhumanity.
You are the one that was calling Bush a war criminal. What do you think the affect will be on the soldiers that fought and killed for a leader that will share the same honor as Adolf Hitler? I can't imagine it being a feeling of pride.

was talking to a 'military pastor' who said most ALL look at themselves as murderers. The pastor said this is and should be normal!! They just have to work thru it!!
Don't get me wrong....they can somehow process the killing of the 'government created enemy'. That is what their job was and one that these military men and women agreed to kill when becomng a 'government issue'. HOWEVER....they are having a 'real hard time' processing the killing and murdering the innocent....AND THAT IS A FACT!!!
Not to mention that the VA HOSPITALS are flooded with military folks that are having a hard time processing these hundreds of thousands of unnecessary murders! ....AND THAT IS ALSO A FACT!!!
We need to pray for 'peace of mind, heart and soul' for those military folks that are suffering!

This is why vets are killing themselves at record rates, the administrations use them and spits them out when no longer needed. I wouldn't doubt it if this guy ends up in a early grave by his own hands, that's the sad truth. But keep waving the flag and saying how much you support them.

He did say that he FELT (not feels) like a psychopath... a huge difference. I would say from watching the video that he no longer feels that way today.
Again Cissy, you post about a topic as if you had some experience in the area, and again:

He said sociopath not psychopath. He was killing without remorse. He was reflecting on his emotions while carrying out the killings, he did not feel sympathetic of those he was killing. I'm not sure there are temporary sociopathic behaviors.
