If you want to know why there is a POLITICAL debate on Climate Science, read the following piece.
(If you'd rather be uninformed, ignore it)

Public Understanding of Science

Quoted Text
Public Understanding of Science is a fully peer reviewed, quarterly international journal covering
all aspects of the inter-relationships between science (including technology and medicine) and
the public. Topics Covered Include: popular representations of science, scientific and para-scientific
belief systems, science in schools, history of science, education of popular science, science and the media.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

BTW, Climate Science is continuing today throughout the world.  Climate Science isn't "completed", any more
than the study of Geology or even Evolution is "completed".

Huh!!!  You been arguing them as FACT for years now.  Why do they need to waste time and energy to continually study what you and a consensus of 20th century scientists determine to be FACT?

Politicization of Science in the Public Sphere:
A Study of Public Trust in the United States, 1974 to 2010

A brief summary:

Quoted Text
“Cause and effect is always perilous,” said Jay Hmielowski of the University
of Arizona, one of the authors of the study, to Raw Story. But of the conservative
media’s attempts to portray climate science in a negative light, “it’s clear that their
communication about scientists and global warming is effective.”

The authors used a polling sample of media consumption habits and political views
taken in 2008, then compared a smaller sample from the same group reinterviewed
about two-and-a-half years later. Researchers asked them which media outlets they
watched and listened to, along with their belief in climate science and their trust
of scientists.

More consumption of media identified as conservative – Fox News, Rush Limbaugh
and the like – correlated positively with both a loss of trust in the scientific community
and a lack of belief that climate change was happening, Hmielowski said. And more
consumption of other kinds of news media led to more trust in scientists and a greater
degree of belief in climate change. Attitudes polarized over time, in direct relation to
the amount and type of media consumed.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

and take DRUG B.

Except there is those who do want to force us to take drug A, that is where the real politics come in because as I said there is those who want to control and regulate others under the lie of global warming.

Yea.  Kind of like medicine, aerospace, geology, math, physics... there is always more to learn.
Cissy seems to think that once Science learned that the earth was a sphere, science packed up
their books and went home.
(I guess that view would work for a creationist)

Science (from Latin scientia, meaning "knowledge") is a systematic enterprise that builds
and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the
universe.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see."

Believe what ever you want.  Makes no difference to me.  You can reject the science if you choose.
As with my example... no one forces you to take DRUG A... you can believe the CEO's and the politicians
and take DRUG B.

I'll stick with the actual Science.  You can stick with the politics, hype and misdirection.

...because box knows, science would never manipulate their scientific findings to serve the sinister motives of CEO's or politicians.  Science is PURE, they are the new priesthood, they in infallible.

Its not a straw man argument it was found that indeed numbers were altered to fit one theory, are you denying this?

I read countless arguments from both sides, many arguments by the believers ended up being debunked, instead of providing a more detailed response they simply stick by the debunked info

And YES HENRY, this IS a straw man.

A straw man is a type of argument and is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation
of an opponent's position.

I can post a 'scientific paper'.  It won't be peer reviewed, it might not be repeatable, but I posted it
and there are some gullible people who will believe it.

Look at the source. All science is not valid.  Some make mistakes and some are paid to produce a
particular results.  Peer review eliminates much of that.

Again read the post above, it explains WHY you keep reading conflicting reports.

Box, you said you will stick with actual science and not CEO's and politicians.  Do you agree science is often manipulated?
