So the FBI should have looked at this Terrorist TeaBaggers and said: "This weapon will never work... lets forget about them"
Just as they could have said: "Extremist Muslims tried to take down the WTC in 1993 and failed... Lets forget about them!"
Once again, those Right Wingers who wailed in the streets that they were being singled out as terrorists when Homeland Security in 2008 said the next generation of terrorists will come from the Rabid Right who need to strike back at their government... Their Government headed by a Black Barack Obama...
Homeland Security was right.
Big difference between the two events... the 93 attack KILLED people, this incident didn't.. I can't speak for others, but I am not arguing about the arrests...What I do think is ridiculous is the governments insistence (parroted by some in the press) that this incident was a potential grave danger to the public....as more experts not connected to the government speak their opinion on the incident, it's obvious to most that it wasn't.
"Arguing with liberals is like playing chess with a pigeon; no matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock out the pieces, crap on the board, and strut around like it is victorious." - Author Unknown
i could be wrong here....but it appears that the government is fueling/creating most of these incidents with coercion, money and materials. CRAZIES are being created! And sadly it also appears that they know exactly what folks to approach and use as an 'example'.
The RABID RIGHT and the LUNY LEFTYS have been around for decades and decades. The only difference today, as with this administration, they don't know how to bullsh!t the people into thinking 'life is grand'.....like past administrations have done over the past decades.
It obviously appears that the globalists have taken full control of the RABID RIGHT and the LUNY LEFTYS, which are being 'fueled/created' with coercion, money and materials!! CRAZIES are being created and here too it is obvious that they know exactly what folks to approach!
smarten up here folks!

Technically, Edison did NOT invent the light bulb. There had been several working light bulbs created by others before Edison. Unfortunately, those early light bulbs could only remain lit for a short time or were so costly to produce that they would never have been commercially viable. Edison is credited with finding a filament that would burn for many hours and making others improvements --- so it is actually more correct o say that Edison invented the first PRACTICAL, COMMERCIALLY VIABLE light bulb.
As for the ray gun incident, it doesn't matter whether the device would have worked. The issue comes down to: Did they intend to do harm? If they did, then they committed a crime.

Cissy never misses a chance to side with the Domestic Terrorist TeaBaggers.
Does anyone on this board have a problem with these two TeaBaggers being arrested for this???

Being arrested isn't the issue, it's the silly Prosecuter and the sensationalizing media that turn this highly unlikely plot into something feasible and to worry about.
If they were former military men, then there is something to worry about. They seem to be the ones that commit the high level assassinations of political leaders.
Why didn't you say the White Barack Obama? Last I heard he is half of each. Forgot youre obsessed with race.
It's not MY obsession with race... It's a specific warning about Right Wing Extremism and RACE from Homeland Security. Read it here: Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf
Referring to the Homeland Security Warning about Right Wing Extremist & Terrorism:
Quoted Text
Rightwing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent issues. The economic downturn and the election of the first African American president present unique drivers for rightwing radicalization and recruitment.
And:

Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda

Homeland Security was right.
Tommy is right, you are making a total retard of yourself.
Your trying to compare a couple of broke idiots who thought they could build an unfeasible and impossible weapon with a large, well funded, deeply disciplined organization who use tried and proven materials and tactics.
Oh and.....Pssst......Boxy......True story and you can even look it up.......
Their bomb went off. The only reason why their overall mission failed was it wasn't big enough.
Now please....

Federal prosecutors vehemently claim the device the men had designed was both viable and lethal — something that could be activated from roughly a half-mile away and then moved once it had delivered its fatal blast.
“This isn’t something out of ‘Buck Rogers,’ ” said John Duncan, an assistant prosecutor. “This was real.”

Yeah I'm sure prosecutors are experts in this field, it is their job to dramatize their cases, that is what they're paid to do.

Um... PROSECUTORS get paid to PROSECUTE! Their evidence must stand up in a court... so we'll see if it's valid or not.

Has Cuomo come out to announce any ray gun control legislation? Maybe a ban on car cigarette lighters to prevent people from converting trucks and vans into mobile ray guns. There should be some sensible ray gun control legislation after such a close call. If we don't do something now, tomorrow it could be you getting radiated.
