Drum roll please?    Remember what the cheerleaders say, oops, cheerleader (his imaginary friends abandoned him)

Let's refresh your memory over the past couple years:

Not to worry -- the shrines for former Mayor Stratton and former County Legislature chairwoman Savage are still in existence ---   we built new and separate shrines for Mayor McCarthy and others.  I am not at liberty to tell you to whom all of the shrines are dedicated --- as the Democratic Temple is only open to privileged members of the Democratic party and we are forbidden to describe the full glory of this magnificent Temple to non-believers.

Sounds great -- another sign of the Democrat-led RENAISSANCE in Schenectady County.

… what I have been saying all along --- Schenectady is undergoing an economic RENAISSANCE under the leadership of the Democratic Party.

The first 8 years of Democratic leadership has brought tremendous improvements to Schenectady County --- the next 8 years of Democratic leadership will bring even more improvements.

The Renaissance goes on and on ....

The latest numbers --  January through May 2013 as compared to January through May 2012:

Home Sale Prices                   Numbers of Sales

Albany County          +   5.0%                                +    3.3%
Montgomery County      +  17.4%                                -    1.6%
Rensselaer County      -   1.2%                                +    8.4%
Saratoga County        +   2.8%                                +   13.3%
Schenectady County     -   6.2%                                -    4.7%

So, can the cheerleaders cheerleader explain HOW Schenectady Co is improving??????     Explain WHY home sale value are continuously going DOWN and why sales are continuously going DOWN (and taxes RISING) IF the county is "improving"?

Oh yeah, that's write, the typical cop-out excuse "I don't have to explain anything to anyone" when there is nothing to cite as improving.  Or there will be no post at all in this thread.

no one wants to buy a house in a city where the government wages war on its residents who are the productive taxpayers while the suck the a_ _ of the scum who are on welfare

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

You all notice that the dem cheerleader DV is too cowardly, not man enough to engage in conversation addressing the true FACTS about the city, when the EVIDENCE is presented.

GB summed it up succinctly, if profanely.

Oh, by the way, during the month of May, alone, in 2012, in the city of Schenectady, 28 houses were sold.

This year, in the midst of the glowing reports from McC's political hack Mary Mary, in the month of May 2013 a grand total of 20 houses sold!   Eight fewer houses.   How is that indicative of a successful home selling program?

Let's see who can make the connection between these numbers and the supposed renaissance.

A house in my area sold relatively quickly because the owner had it in better than new condition. If a house needs much work at all, you have to price it dirt cheap because a buyer without much money can't afford a "bargain" house in Schenectady, because of the taxes, and still be able to do repairs oreven redecorating. People with money to throw around go to Saratoga county in the first place.
Those houses in the "program", the market says the prices are too high, so the prices are too high, regardless of what a stubborn realtor believes.

Note the only county listed that volume and pricing went down.  All others were either a mix or both up.

Quoted from JackBauer

And those that did have a reduction, it was only a teeny weeny 1%.

But in this county that is having a so called renaissance, the drops are 5 times as much.

Proof of a renaissance?     It's easier to avoid any response than to provide proof

Anyone involved with that stupid news release about Schenectady finances out to be run out of town. It is so annoying to have to do research to get at the facts every time something that fraudulent sees print. Now wonder newspapers are in trouble. It's because they don't bother to verify anything they write any more.
Here's the problem: Nobody wants to pay ultra high taxes to live in a place where you get extremely sub-par services. That was what local taxes are for, the services you get because you live in a city. A lot of people have bought into the idea that you are supposed to hand over large sums of money to the government to be 'good' or 'noble' or something. Fee for service. High fee, bad or no service, who needs it? This does not sink into the heads of certain individuals who are receiving high service themselves. They don't want to believe it. So they keep coming up with various schemes, or scams, to work against all known laws and keep this craziness going. They take large amounts of our money, throw it into various endeavors, and after everybody involved gets rich, some of that money is supposed to "trickle down" to the people whose pockets it came from in the first place. If the money never left our pockets, we would have a dingier downtown, but the paces we live in would be nicer, and the smaller amounts of money we did pay would go for things like nicely paved roads. This isn't magic, it is good government.
Lower the taxes, there are people waiting in line to get a nice home of their own, really.

I saw our "mayor" at Johnny's earlier this week.  It was the only unpleasant aspect to my evening.  I won't say it ruined the evening but really he disgusts me.

(As much as I hate the tax free downtown situation, as far as I can tell - they lease...  And DV is absolutely right about them, their food is phenomenal, and service there is impeccable.  Everyone there are genuinely wonderful people.  No financial interest here, just really love the experience of going there.  And the food is CHEAP for what you get.  The drinks might be pricey but they don't water them down)
