And just remember, this woman had to pay for the sidewalks downtown, the UNNECESSARY "fancy lighting" on Erie Blvd, all the renovated and/or new buildings downtown, AND for the LAVISH EXTRAVAGANT GOLD CEILING at Proctors.
AND she pays the taxes of the millionaire and billionaire property owners downtown, the political cronies of the DEMOCRATS in Schenectady!!!!!!!!!!
FOR SHAME ON THE CITY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Surely the city will be FORCING her to put in a sidewalk very soon! Just watch, in exchange for her bringing this to the news, the city WILL mandate a sidewalk and force her to pay for it.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Another lack of comment by a cheerleader for McC whose employee can't distinguish between new asphalt and driveway sealer.

There are houses in my neighborhood which laid asphalt over existing sidewalk much more recently. The asphalt is a much slipperier surface to walk across in winter weather. I don't know why this woman was singled out because the word was out about asphalt before these other houses did what they did, and nobody hassled them. I'm not sure that the woman's driveway was even laid across sidewalk in the first place. Normally I'm in favor of enforcing rules because it keeps the neighborhoods nicer for everyone, but in Schenectady so many issues have been let go to hell for so long half the population doesn't even know what the rules are. To proceed like this in an arbitrary and piecemeal fashion when the city doesn't even keep up the maintenance on city property, it's just more aggravation for the poor homeowner.

Call the city on it HA HA HA
Maybe this McC and his army have been checking political party affiliation and choosing the victims that way

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
I noticed just today that once you leave a few blocks of State Street downtown, you start to see glaring code violations, and other issues such as sloppy degraded asphalt parking lots on main corners, with no buffer required as other communities do, new construction that could have been done attractively done on the cheap and cheesy, because anything goes in Schenectady, even a tree that is quite obviously dead and needs removing. There is enough going on down there to keep the inspectors busy enough that they wouldn't have time to nitpick in Woodlawn. I believe that in my neighborhood we are having to spend more and more money on our basements because the city has been neglecting the water pipes forever and they have no business making demands on the homeowners when they have neglected their responsibilities to us.
