I don't think that obumma, or the leaders of the arab nations are christians that are trying to accelerate the return of Christ.  They don't even believe in Christ!!

...but a large segment of the evangelical public does, and they justify the United State's military involvement in the Middle East by referencing biblical scripture.  They sit quietly by and allow the government to commit acts of war in the Middle East because they believe this is part of the "end times" and will lead to the return of their Savior.  There is no mass outrage from the Christian community in response to all the innocent deaths in the Middle East.  The preachers tell their congregations to pray for the American soldier, but never for the innocent people killed by the American soldier.

The next time a preacher says pray for our troops, I would love to see a parishioner stand up and say "and pray for all the innocent men, women, and children killed by our troops".  That would be courageous.

If you look at some of the evangelical groups in this country they openly support Israel and their actions, its not about them being our countries ally it goes beyond that, it goes into what Cicero was talking about with their belief in the end times.

Nothing good for us is going to happen if we get involved in any capacity, save that Obama will get his distraction that he needs against all the scandals that are going on.

Scandal??? Again, I keep hearing about scandals but when I look for any details... the so called SCANDALS
just disappear!
~Fast & Furious... gone.
~Benghazi scandal... Nope.
~IRS Scandal... Yea for the Republicans at the IRS who targeted the TeaBaggers.
~NSA Scandal... if the program is a scandal... then blame those who originated and passed this
legislation long before Obama was elected to office.
~The real Scandal is a Congress who blocks any jobs bill, or assistance for poor Americans put out of
work by the Bush Economic Meltdown, while giving the richest of Americans tax cuts.
For some reason... that ISN'T a scandal.

If it's Israel that is going to do it, wouldn't the US stop them?  America goes to war with claims of spreading democracy, protecting human rights, or "fighting terrorist".  You think America would allow Israel, that is the size of Delaware, to wipe out Damascus?  I think you just proved my point.

‘US war on Syria is all about money’
Sat Jun 15, 2013 4:33PM

The United States will attempt to get militarily involved in any conflict in the Middle East due to financial profits of war, a political analyst told Press TV’s U.S. Desk on Saturday.

“Any way they can get involved with any kind of military intervention in the Middle East, they will do it. The United States will do that because it’s all about the profits of war and keeping it going,” Al Kovnat said.

“War is a big business. Military intervention is a big business and they have an awful lot of lobbyists in Washington pushing for this [war],” he added.

The analyst made the remarks after Washington authorized sending weapons to militants in Syria. U.S. officials said the White House is also considering a no-fly zone inside the country.

“Hopefully the people will realize that they have to stop this because the money is not coming into this country for education or for healthcare for their own people. It’s going over just to make money for the big military operations and the corporate military people,” Kovnat said.

The Obama administration’s preparation for a military intervention in Syria comes despite the public’s opposition to the war in the Middle Eastern country.

A poll conducted by Gallup last month showed that 68 percent of Americans said the United States should not take any military action against Syria.

Only an ignorant person or a Pelosipaloser would deny that the Obama administration is mired in scandal after scandal.   The Obama administration is the most corrupt administration in U.S. history and it has gotten to the point that it makes a banana republic look like a model of good government.

Seems Iran is going to send 4,000 troops into Syria to help defeat the rebels, I hope this is not true as I can already see Obama and Israel rubbing their hands together. Someone mentioned they wouldn't do this without backing from Russia and I tend to agree with that.

You keep telling yourself that Boxy.

And what happens IF we decide to supply arms to these 'moderate' rebels (whatever that means) and they end up turning on us like the ones in Libya?  Will that be a scandal?

And what happens IF we decide to conduct airstrikes against Assad and one of his brand new S-300 anti-air missile batteries manages to take out one of our advanced strike aircraft?   Will that be a scandal?

London, Jan 30 (ANI): The Obama administration gave green signal to a chemical weapons attack plan in Syria that could be blamed on President Bashar al Assad's regime and in turn, spur international military action in the devastated country, leaked documents have shown.

A new report, that contains an email exchange between two senior officials at British-based contractor Britam Defence, showed a scheme 'approved by Washington'.

As per the scheme 'Qatar would fund rebel forces in Syria to use chemical weapons,' the Daily Mail reports.

Barack Obama made it clear to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that the U.S. would not tolerate Syria using chemical weapons against its own people.

According to Infowars.com, the December 25 email was sent from Britam's Business Development Director David Goulding to company founder Philip Doughty.

The emails were released by a Malaysian hacker who also obtained senior executives resumes and copies of passports via an unprotected company server, according to Cyber War News.

According to the paper, the U.S. State Department has declined to comment on the matter. (ANI)
