Rep. Donald Lindberg, R-Worcester, the first county official to warn of the mounting subsidy that the county was providing to keep the Manor on an even financial keel, said of Marchi: "I won't miss him."
In accepting the Schenectady job, Marchi will be getting a salary boost of more than $19,000-a-year. He is paid $87,732 annually by Otsego County.
The higher pay at the new job will also significantly increase the public pension Marchi will qualify for when he retires, as both the current job and the new one are aligned with the state pension system. The pensions of public employees in New York are based on their highest three consecutive years of earnings, plus the amount of time they have in the system, and their age at the time of retirement.

Otsego County is one of numerous New York counties looking to shed their public nursing homes as a result of spiraling costs and lower reimbursement rates from federal health programs.

they just don't want to tell you that the plan all along was the taxpayer build only to turn it over to private... they will break the union
DEMS will break their union supporters? Huh? What they don't tell you is that all senior nursing administrators have fled. It's not something is awry-everything is awry in this County. Look at Montgomery, Saratoga and Fulton Counties that are out of the nursing home business. Even Albany County is really struggling with this issue. Only Schenectady County builds at any cost with no concern over long term costs nor the cries of the taxpayers. What happened in Niskayuna is a positive sign that taxpayers are starting to wake up.
an administrator gets paid to 'take sh!t'....politically....national healthcare FED/STATE DOH are FULL of ambiguous regulations.. why? ask yourself what the IRS is for......the system is set up so fail by the scapegoat hides the FAILURE of the government to 'care'.....
the questions asked during new QIS survey are a JOKE....
they ask fellow taxpayers "how do you FEEL about blah blah blah." just what we all need to do is have the government go around asking fellow taxpayers how they freaking FEEL....
everyone's definition/thoughts/feelings are NOT to be used for political fodder or legal fodder....but the system is the SAME as the IRS functioning....administrators are nothing more than the characters that work at the State Science Institute in Atlas Shrugged.....
