The pioneers managed very nicely without any government intrusion. Too many people depend solely on the government to exist and not enough people take care of themselves.

I would like to point out something we all know but no one ever speaks aloud. Just because you enlist in the Armed Forces, it doesn't make you necessarily good or noble or heroic. When I was younger, it was common to see some troublemaker enlist at the point where he had no other options, as he could not hold down a job and friends and family's patience was exhausted. Look at the current hearings on sexual assault. Drug use and theft are common at military bases. So the whole "homeless are veterans" sacred cow thing is largely a charade. If you couldn't maintain yourself before entering the military, chances are pretty good you won't be able to afterward, either.
Any veteran with health issues from the war is entitled to help. The fact that the help is not good enough is a separate issue that needs to be addressed. Maybe if we quit sending so many of our citizens abroad to get involved in dubious battles for dubious reasons, they wouldn't be coming back suicidal the way they are.

Where do the poor live? The projects are coming to a suburb, town, or village where you live. The globalist politicians, Democrat or Republican, would have the rest of us who still have a job support the people made redundant in this economy. The ultimate pyramid scheme.
