Rotterdam police investigate burglary string

ROTTERDAM — Local police were investigating a string of pre-dawn burglaries Saturday.

Rotterdam Police said three burglaries occurred near each other on Romano Drive and O'Brien Avenue during the early-morning hours Saturday.

At one site a resident found a thinly-built man approximately five feet tall wearing dark clothing in the kitchen. The homeowner followed the man outside where there was another man wearing dark clothing.

Both men fled empty-handed.

After police responded to that incident, they found that two other burglaries occurred nearby.

Police said that in each instance the men entered through a rear window.

They made off with a flat screen TV, laptop computer and cash, authorities said.

Anyone with information regarding the burglaries is asked to call police detectives at 335-7397.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I once had a thought that my neighborhood should secede to Niskayuna, but over the last several years I have been noticing that Niskayunans have been asleep at the switch and their government is not all that it should be, and their tax dollars have not been being used wisely. Recent events with the school district there have proved my suspicions correct, so it probably wouldn't be worth the trouble to go to Niskayuna as this is where they are headed. They just have more people who can afford it and they don't have as large a number of unruly children from downstate entering the schools.
