I don't know, I think maybe somebody who bought a house through that stupid program might just be successful.
There was a story on WRGB about Schenectady selling off vacant properties. They won't necessarily go to the highest bidder. How much do you want tobet the more desirable properties are more likely to go to a low bidder?

Is is true that people who have purchased HUD homes or Habitat for Humanity DON"T pay a garbage fee?  I noticed when looking at my
taxes some of my neighbors had no garbage fees, talking to a city employee today and he said because they are HUD/Habitat Homes.

Would not surprise me, but I don't know. I do know that one of those 'green' rehabs is going on on Garner Avenue, and I believe you could redo three houses for the work that is going into that one.
