Action equals reaction

Cause and effect.

The military gave birth to this reaction

Quoted from CICERO

This memorial day, I will teach my children that it is not patriotic to honor the senseless deaths
of young men and women, and also to resist the peer pressure and propaganda that tries to
warp reality by convincing people to stand and honor the flag that sent the men and women
to their deaths in the name of greed.

Let us also remember that peace does not come from superior firepower.

It comes from not killing people.

Cicero wants to blame...he wants to point his finger and say..."YOU MARINE... YOU PERSONALLY ARE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WAR."

All military personnel, including drivers, instructors, cooks, mechanics, court reporters, bombers,
snipers, infantrymen, secretaries and every single member of any support staff are in fact solely
responsible for every war.

As I suspected.  Cicero absolves himself from all wars because he doesn't get to vote for them...
Just like everything else in our Republica... that is how the system of government is set up. We
all vote for legislators who then decide things like taxes and wars.

I know thinking for yourself, taking responsibility for yourself and defining yourself is a foreign concept. The collectivist has no identity without the collective. So yes, I will proudly say it again, I absolve myself from the actions of others for which I have no control, especially the actions of strangers that I have never met in my entire life. There is no system of government that will change that.

You can contiue to look at the actions of governments to define entire populations.  I will continue to treat each individual for what they personally believe, not for the actions of the government they were born under.

All Germans are not responsible for the atrocities committed by Hitler, and all Japanese are not responsible for the atrocities committed by Hirohito.  I can separate the two, you cannot.

Of course other than his vote, that Marine has no choice in if or where he fights the country's wars...
but as long as Cicero can point his finger... he is absolved of all guilt and responsibility.
Pretty lame.

Of course he does he still has control over his body, he could lay down his arms and say I will not fight in this senseless war. He maybe punished in court but at least he will show they're not in control of him or his actions. Point being nobody can force you to fight, if you do then you either wanted to or you were brainwashed into believing you must obey orders from higher up.

Correct. Even if you were called to fight the war in the draft, you still had the option of refusing.

War simply does not work.

In WW2 49 US troops were sentenced to death for refusing to fight.  Private Edward Slovik was executed
in the closing days of the war.

I find it amazing that those on this board who hate their government... who refuse to take part in this
government... are the loudest crybabies when it comes to their RIGHTS!

Their govt is VALID when they suffer some perceived infringement of their "RIGHTS", but their govt
is invalid and has no authority when it doesn't fit into their selfish agenda.

I WANT MINE... SCREW EVERYONE ELSE.

They want all their RIGHTS with none of the RESPONSIBILITY.

Disgusting

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Yup and many did refuse or moved to Canada or elsewhere in protest of the wars, the media and politicians would like you to believe these people are traitors or cowards but that is far from the truth, those people had the balls to say "no, you have no control over me"

My rights already exist.  If the government is not preserving them, the only thing a government can do is infringe upon them.  The concept of this government was to preserve the natural rights of all human beings, not grant them.

BTW...I just answered one of your straw men. LOL!

Yup they were murdered by a tyrannical act only seen by governments but they still refused to obey orders, they were Patriots for not allowing someone control their actions. By the way what responsibilities are you talking about, letting others control you is not freedom, getting murdered for refusing to kill is not freedom. That is what is really DISGUSTING"

Those who were killed for not participating are men that I give honor to.

I will use Memorial Day to remember and honor those who chose peace, even at the
cost of their own lives or imprisonment.

What is disgusting is the Pro-Death crowd you and folks like Pelosi, Tonko and Cuomo who want unlimited abortion on demand -- who think that it should be a Constitutional right to be able to slaughter a baby in the womb.  Abortion has killed more Americans than all of the wars that we have fought since 1776 combined. THAT is disgusting.

So for DVOR, Memorial Day is about campaigning against Choice.

Very patriotic.

Your holiday memorializing death has run it's course.

I refuse to celebrate death.

Abortion.

War.

Police executions.

Death penalty.

It's so easy. Just say no to death.
