I'm hearing from people who voted at the high school a short while ago that there is a reporter there covering the election. I've never seen that, but maybe it's a regular occurrence and I just always missed it. If it isn't a regular thing, I think it's a good idea, but I'm wondering why now?

Cathy Lewis was one of the best members of the Schenectady City Council in many years.  She actually cares about her constituents and puts her heart and soul into her job.  I always supported her -- hope she does well.

I can remember when local media treated these elections as important. I guess we will have to wait until morning to see results.

Unbelievable. No, it's not, I'm just in denial. Mr. Hodgkins was too good for that board anyway.
Time for charter schools, or vouchers. Watch the For Sale signs go up.

The fix was in. Kosiur won a one year term only (third) and only beat Rivera by 118 votes. Very weak for an Assembly candidate. Few voted and Reilly the top vote getter only got 1,046 votes.
For Sale signs are already up with no qualified buyers in sight. Nisky really sent the big message. Love the endorsement from DVOR after the results came in.

I've been saying Niskayunans need to watch where their money is going.

I know people who have kids in the schools and didn't bother to vote. I know people are busy, and maybe they feel as if it won't make a difference, butthis stuff is important and if they just read the stuff that comes to the house they would see that we had at least one really qualified person who cared about the education of the kids and only that. Schenectady had superior schools back when we kept politics out.

I don't really know much about Tom Hodgkins except for bits and pieces that I have heard from relatives and friends who live in the city.  He seems to be interested in our schools and public service.  Hopefully, he will not view this school board race as just a "bump on the road" and try again next time or for another office.

And what would you care?   You are not a taxpayer, not even a renter.

But what do you think about the latest real estate report?   How about that sale prices of ALL places outside of the city of Schenectady are going UP, including Schoharie County which properties were ruined after the hurricanes.     But Schenectady home sale prices  have gone DOWN AGAIN from the same period last year.

What do you think about that, DV.   The EVIDENCE has proved it.    Did you have a stroke after reading about yet another drop in home prices in the city of your dem buddies that you are trying to brown nose but NO ONE will give you a job!
