http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/SPCA-Son-of-murder-suspect-beat-dog-with-shovel-4521861.php

The son of a city woman accused of beating her grandson to death earlier this year has been arrested for beating a pit bull with a shovel, the Schenectady County SPCA said.

DC Dunkel was charged with aggravated animal cruelty for allegedly beating the two-year-old male dog one two separate occasions. Both attacks were caught on videotape, the SPCA said.

The SPCA began investigating Dunkel for beating the dog on April 30, when a witness who claimed to have recorded Dunkel striking the pit bull with a shovel contacted their office.

The witness then contacted the SPCA again on May 6, saying Dunkel had been caught on camera beating the dog.

Dunkel, of 23 Mynderse St., was arrested on May 8. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Schenectady City Court on May 28.

If the man had shot the dog, he'd be praised on this board... and if he shot him with an AR 15, he would be
renowned as a hero.

and this is the 'violent society' we live in today!

stories have it that these pitbulls are mis-treated when they don't 'fight' the way they were trained.

wonder if the dog was licensed?

Is it ok to use the word stupid here? Ok. Box that is a stupid comment.

No one in their right mind would want any dog shot UNLESS it was attacking someone with NO other way to stop the attack.

I hit a dog once that had run out of a house on McClellan St and into the road. I sat on the curb shook up and crying while the owners
were just worried about how to get rid of it, no emotion at all.

You really need to get over your fixation with guns and gun owners box

Maybe alittle upset that even CNN is talking about the IRS, Benghazi and the AP's records getting "confiscated" hmmmmm

Benghazi???
I'm still waiting for the "issue" of Benghazi to hit the press... so far, it's a terrorist attack on a diplomatic
mission.  A tragic attack, but no different than the dozens or so under Bush, Clinton, & Reagan.

And the emails sent to the state dept asking for more protection meant nothing? In an unstable area?

I'll agree Bush screwed up big time with Iraq and the "weapons of mass destruction"

At least Clinton was impeached, impeached like that word.

We have to admit so much wrong with the government.

Too many coverups and lies.

Even Rand Paul appeared with Michele Bachmann about the IRS issue, made me want to puke.

If it was an 'unstable area' why did the Republicans cut funding for security???

"At least Clinton was impeached,"
Clinton was acquitted on all charges.

"Rand Paul appeared with Michele Bachmann"

What a slob dynasty. What is encouraging is that someone in that neighborhood knew right from wrong.
People with vicious tempers breeding more and more kids they don't even want. How much do you want to bet that this creep and his "fiancee" were both living off the public before he took custody of his younger sisters?
You know what this country needs? Not more 'immigrants' to go on welfare, we need more manual jobs with better wages for our home grown simpletons, and then we need to require these guys to pay for their own children like other men do.

What the hell type of comment was that, every gun owner I know owns dogs or some other type of pet. More proof you are not a gun owner and just rehash the liberal talking points

DC Dunkel?

http://www.rotterdamny.info/v-post/b-General1/m-1361650787/q-34/

From the obit

Quoted Text
...In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Schenectady Pilgrim Holiness Church, in c/o DC Dunkel, 2105 Curry Rd., Schenectady, NY 12303.....

Quoted from mikechristine1
"....survived by...Gloria Nelligan..."

Yep, she sure survived.

Not sure if the obit should have phrased it that way.   Maybe saying "he was the grandson of....."

Brothers named "Victorious" and "King"    Somehow you wonder if some words should be disallowed as first names.

And why aren't the memorial contributions to the church mailed to a bank instead of the kid's relative?

It's typical Schenectady.   Maybe the church should audit it's books, ya think?

It's true, it's a dynasty of disaster...happens over and over and over again.

Sad thing was, this family has been in the non-profit/family services loop for decades. Didn't seem to help much though.

Makes me question why millions are spent supporting these so-called 'non-profits' yet the lines at DSS keep getting longer and longer and families don't seem to be getting any better.
