Very detailed stuff must be provided at the local level too.   Especially in Schenectady city and county.   And it needs to be published on the city and county's websites.   It needs to require financial disclosure from King Phillp as well, and all the others who get "paid" by the taxpayers in the form of handouts to their buildings, tax exemptions etc.   And all of these people need to have all their political contributions published on the the city and county's website as well.

1) Every PILOT agreement should be made public and with the length of time each agreement will be in force (10 years? 20?).

2) Every Plex loan should be made public and IF they were ever paid back..or 'forgiven' (ask Clinton's Ditch..they received a $30K 'forgiveness' taxpayer loan)

3) All the facade loans, Plex loans...dates ....details. The Transfinders building had millions of taxpayer money put into it when Proctors owned it only to be torn down by Tranfinders 5 years later. That's millions of taxpayers money up in a pile of smoke!!

4) The Proctors 'charity' has to be exposed. Proctors has become lob-job central for washed up Dems. $100K jobs given to council members, county legs, former financial advisors...all DEM hacks. Guess Cuomo has no clue that Morris is playing politics through the back door of his 'theater'.

Well, that's just the beginning of a long list.....

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The problem is, many people either don't understand the math, or they think these people are impressive hotshots who are doing "good things" for Schenectady. They give these people credit for putting buildings in empty lots, but the lots weren't empty until they knocked something down.
Those new "luxury" apartments on Union Street at Barrett, you can see the back service areas of the other buildings now. Instant eyesore. Cars park upover the curb now, too. We didn't have that before.
You know what? I wouldn't have cared if we did have empty buildings downtown. Why is this money drain better? Besides, metroplex displaced existing businesses downtown, that's a fact.

LOVE those people who say "before the Plex there were tumbleweeds going down State street"...well at least the TAX BASE WASN'T THREE TIMES AS HIGH BACK THEN EITHER!!!

Now we have a Downtown with tax-exempt businesses paying unknown PILOTS, neighborhoods on the decline and property owners paying three times the amount they should?

I don't know about you, but tumbleweeds, low taxes and nice neighborhoods weren't so bad Mr. Gillen. A waste of millions of taxpayers dollars and no one says nothing.

I wish there had been tumbleweeds, but there were actually a few businesses that got displaced for more favored ones.

There are nice places to live that do not have a fancy downtown.

The biggest problem downtown was the dumping of undesirables from NYC. It was Mayor Al's idea to stop the dumping, but nobody supported him.

YES!    Where's the big cheerleader from Rotterdam who posts that downtown is so wonderful.   Funny, he doesn't EVER want to explain HOW downtown is helping the city, he refuses to address the FACT that the tax base was substantially higher, he refuses to address that even properties downtown paid taxes and what now?   ZILCH.    And the few remaining properties that are taxpaying, that stuck by through the best and worst of times, his dem buddies have taxed those long time businesses right out of business!

Totally speechless.
