Ya know, MIS-USE of our tax dollars to look into a guy who runs a FOR PROFIT theater, collects rents from a number of businesses - i.e., FOR PROFIT, has a LAVISH EXTRAVAGANT banquet hall with LAVISH EXTRAVAGANT AND VERY COSTLY parties which of course are FOR PROFIT, who then gets paid his full salary by our county tax dollars, he benefitted from tens of millions of our tax dollars, then REFUSES to pay property and school taxes (thus forcing the financially struggling homeowners to pay the taxes), stole from the taxpayers by illegally helping himself to two STAR exemptions, then gets one of his employees put on the city council to insure conflict of interest and violations of ethics to favor him and his FOR PROFIT business!!!!!!!!!!!!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

These not-for-profits are a Ponzi scheme. A way for our privileged ruling classes to stay superior when their particular party isn't in power by drawing large salaries in line with their exaltedness. Why would our Governor want to disturb that too much?

I think he needed help making things look less bad than they are. Are finance people so hard to come by that you need a particular person?
From what I can find out, it looks like most Broadway theaters are for-profit. Why do we let this one get so out of hand? Can't make it without tax breaks, volunteers, etc. but has funds to dabble in empire building and pay hefty salaries to a chosen few? That can't keep working and I think it may already be unraveling.
