Law enforcement officials are seen outside 1142 Inner Drive in Rotterdam this afternoon.ROTTERDAM — Two people have died in a sleepy residential neighborhood, Rotterdam police said.
They called the deaths suspicious, but offered no other details as they investigate.
Police were called to 1142 Inner Dr. at 10:15 a.m., they said, and found the bodies. Carman Fire Department also received a fire call to that address at that time. However, firefighters were on the scene for only half an hour.
Multiple police vehicles, police tape and evidence markers can be seen outside the house, which is owned by Tammy McCormack, according to the house deed filed with Schenectady County.
Schenectady County District Attorney Robert Carney is on the scene, but declined to comment on the investigation.
McCormack’s son, Brad, rushed to the scene. His business, Lyle’s Hoagies, closed for the day.
Police were taking photographs and video.
The deed shows that the house is owned by Tammy and Keith McCormack, but Keith died of a heart attack on June 5, 2009.
After Keith’s death, Brad McCormack took over his father’s business, Lyle’s Hoagies. Keith McCormack was the co-partner in the business.
The family has three children: Brad, Jessica, and Marie.
The house is in the Coldbrook neighborhood of Rotterdam.
RIP to the two women killed. This news scared the crap out of me as my daughter lives on the road. I'm hoping it's a domestic violence thing an that there isn't a serial killer out there. Scary stuff.
Probably the best thing to do is to turn your guns in to Harry Buffonti. Just ask Box and JoeBox. Harry was the the million mom march for gun control in the nineties, so I am sure he would be happy if we are all defenseless to this kind of thing.
Maybe after several hours the RPD will show up to fend off your murderer.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
This is scary for the fact that it wasn't just someone flying off the handle, and shooting someone in a moment of anger. It is an act of prolonged rage and violence, because it takes time and thought to STRANGLE TWO people. Whoever did it, is a very dangerous loony tune.

Dollars to doughnuts they were killed by someone they knew, and wouldn't have drawn a gun anyway. Chances are extremely slim that it was a home invasion. Besides, how do you know they didn't have a gun in the home?
I'm thinking domestic violence because you have to have allot of hate to take the time to kill two people by strangulation. Allot of people can snap for 5 seconds and pull out a gun and shoot, to take the time to strangle,,,,, two adults.... hardcore f'd up, this guy hated these people
channel 6 news tonight interviewed neighbor. couldn't make heads or tails of it though. neighbor said that black car was there around 6 a.m. ....then something about a cop there putting out paper fires on lawn where this happened......the neighbor tells the concern to the cop....neighbor said cop wasn't concerned.....
like i said.....couldn't make heads or tails out of it....anyone else see it?

they said the mother worked for the school system and didn't show up for work. they said that the son, who doesn't live there, found them and called the police.

It is always best to be disarmed. You will sleep better knowing that the gun won't go off at night by accident and kill your child in his bed. Turn in those firearms- It will be for "the kids."

Who wants to start a pool betting on how long it will take for the local pols to use this tragedy to sell the $10 million police station?
not to mention the car accident yesterday in highbridge area that required FOUR cop cars!!!
