I believe this photo above shows Weaver St going across the middle.
On the left is the old Point Hotel at the corner of Broadway and Crane Street.
This picture appears to have been taken from Summit Ave or Maybe Strong Street

The above home was built in 1765

Where was the old ladies home located?

Union Street -- the building is still there -- going east past McClellan Street on the left hand side.

Yes it is. I just saw it on google maps. It is the 7th building past McClellan St on the Left,
with the Sunoco station being the first. It has a circular driveway and looks just about the same
as it did 100 years ago. The trees grew up quite a bit since then.

I think this is building 2.  And from what I have heard, it is not long for this world.

Thanks for the old picture.  That is one of my favorite old buildings in the city and was not aware that it was the "Ladies' Home" at one time.

Now compare those buildings to the Galesi owned SS building

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

There are still old ladies in the building. The Union Street one, not the Galesi temporary structure.
The 'downtown' crowd should use this as a guide, they haven't finished getting rid of any remaining traces of our city's proud history.
