Mark this day. For the first time in history, a Democratic president has officially proposed to cut the Democratic Party’s signature New Deal program, Social Security:
President Obama next week will take the political risk of formally proposing cuts to Social Security and Medicare in his annual budget in an effort to demonstrate his willingness to compromise with Republicans and revive prospects for a long-term deficit-reduction deal, administration officials say. In a significant shift in fiscal strategy, Mr. Obama on Wednesday will send a budget plan to Capitol Hill that departs from the usual presidential wish list that Republicans typically declare dead on arrival. Instead it will embody the final compromise offer that he made to Speaker John A. Boehner late last year, before Mr. Boehner abandoned negotiations in opposition to the president’s demand for higher taxes from wealthy individuals and some corporations. http://blog.ourfuture.org/20130405/its-official

Let's hope this is just a rumor. If he does try a move like this.....
Screw the elderly and disabled while congress gets the salaries they do and the jerks of this country spends billions on weapons to kill. Go figure.
I hope he does try something as stupid as this move and hopefully, just maybe people will finally get off of their A$ses and rise up in revolt.
This is what it is going to take to get the knumbskulls in Washington to make healthy changes in spending
Unfortunately it will take extremism to revolt and be heard and some may lose their lives doing it but damn it, it is about time the people show their rage and disgust at the political system as is.
Holy cow I would never have imagined myself supporting such things but isn't this enough is already..
It doesn't feel good being manipulated with your own money does it?
The current dilemma we are currently in is deciding who is going to feel the pain for the 70+ years of American excess. Is it going to be the middle class and rich boomers that are retiring from private business with a million dollar or nearly a million dollar nest egg, or will it be the government employee with the guaranteed pension? Or is everybody below the age of 50 currently working going to work the rest of their productive years only to pay for the excesses of these two classes of citizens to maintain what they think is rightfully theirs? Just to retire broke and in poverty.
The younger working class sees the writing on the wall. The current path leads to a lower standard of living with more dependency on government welfare.

BINGO!!!!
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS
