Metroplex has done this. The Gillette House at the entrance of the Stockade...over $200,000 to clean the 'contaminated' soil of the former gas station which was on that corner.
The Gillette House had Plex facade grants and was to become the Chambers new home...but that was an epic fail.
The Gillette House was sold to the VanDyke owner(MacDonald) for WAY less than the clean up cost and currently is what.................VACANT!
Oh and PS...even with the soil clean up, facade grant and Plex money poured into this property, it's only assessed at 76,000. Sweet deal MacDonald...must be nice to be on Gillens speed dial!!!
