They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons(which is technically a WMD) on his own citizens.
Of course I disagree with most or DVOR's post, but let's take just this one point... Saddam using chemical weapons (a WMD) on the Kurds, his own people.
Where did Saddam get this WMD Chemical Weapons capacity???
On this issue, it is clear that as long as Saddam was fighting Iran and wanted chemical weapons, the Reagan administration was willing to support that program.

Like I said....I was already on this ride 6 years ago. So have fun with your necro thread

First known attribution to Jefferson in print: We have found no attributions of this quotation to Thomas Jefferson in print. It has been attributed to him on various sites on the Internet (particularly discussion boards) since at least 2001.
~ This quotation has not been found in the writings of Thomas Jefferson. The language is somewhat uncharacteristic of Jefferson's style. "Stand around" in the sense used here is not an expression that can be found in Jefferson's letters. He almost always wrote "every body" instead of "everybody." And there are no instances of the word "reload" (or variations thereof) referring to firearms in Jefferson's writings.
It's Called TeaBagger Bull$hit!
TeaBaggers love to "attribute" their words to Jefferson... and once a TeaBagger posts it, the Right takes those words to be Jeffersons. How embarrassing to be a TeaBagger... It's not so much that they are fooled by these attribution, than that they are willingly deceived!

Extremists like Box (and most of the Pelosi-palooza members of Congress) keep pushing the bull sh*t line that Saddam Hussein was not a threat .. that he was a good and decent man .. and that we were the bad guys for taking him out.
They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein used chemical weapons(which is technically a WMD) on his own citizens. They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein and his weirdo sons would hand pick woman off of the street, rape and torture them and then dump their dead bodies outside the palace fence. They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein offered and PAID rewards to the families of suicide bombers who attacked targets in Israel and in other nations. They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein received from French companies (one owned by former French President and scuzz-ball Jaque Chirac) and Russia equipment that was capable of producing chemical and biological weapons -- equipment that was packed up and shipped back to Russia and France in the weeks just before the U.S. intervention began. They conveniently forget that Saddam Hussein publicly told the world and his own people that Iraq had a nuclear weapons program -- and the fact that it "vanished" does not not actually prove it didn't exist. It could very well be that scum like Putin and Chirac helped make it disappear because they knew that George W. Bush would have kicked their asses if it was proven that they had been violating international sanctions and arming Saddam Hussein.
So on this tenth anniversary of the U.S. intervention in Iraq, I reiterate that I am glad we stood up for what was right and good. I am glad that Hussein is dead. I am glad that Iraq is now on the road to Democracy. And I gladly invite those who disagree to pack their bags and go move to Iran or some Taliban cave and live like a sewer rat.

Really, they hate us now more than ever before? That's weird.
What's weird is that we are the land of devils and killers and all that is bad in this world.... then you have migration of Muslims to this country in record numbers... 8million+ people live in NYC.....1million+ are muslims.... So if this country and everything about it is so bad, I am trying hard to understand why they are coming here to live........they can't all be terrorists or sleeper cells......what is attracting them to this evil land?????
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

can't war crimes be categorized in "WHAT WENT WRONG"???? i would think so!!!!!
Well wouldn't acknowledging the crimes and prosecuting the criminals be the logical first steps before finding out what went wrong? I would think so!!!!
A few on this board want to gloss over those steps and go right to excusing them. Ooops, sorry for killing your women and children, we'll try harder next time.
