Schenectady County issues Boil Water Order

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady County Department of Environmental Health has issued a Boil Water Order for portions of the Town of Niskayuna as a precautionary measure in response to a water main break. RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS MUST BOIL WATER BEFORE USE: •House #s 2735 thru 2837 Balltown Rd. (Including SI Group and E-One) •House #s 2744 thru 2867 on Aqueduct Rd. •All houses on Williams St. •All houses on Benedict St. •All houses on East St. •All houses on Middle St. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
The broken water main is currently undergoing repair and it is anticipated that the problem will be resolved within a couple of days.
