Trustco Bank robbed in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY -- Schenectady Police are currently searching for the suspect or suspects that robbed the Trustco Bank on Union Street around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady Police Department Detective Division has made an arrest in the Trustco Bank robbery that occurred Monday morning.  

Officers were dispatched to the bank for a hold up alarm, and were told that a male had walked into the bank wearing a mask.    

Rotterdam Police Detectives had identified a person matching the same description from a robbery that had occurred in Rotterdam on February 13th.  Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation also assisted with identifying the suspect and assisted in the investigation.

While checking the area for the suspect, Rotterdam Police Detectives stopped a vehicle in Rotterdam and detained two individuals in regards to the incident.  

The two individuals were transported to the Schenectady Police Department for further questioning.

The Schenectady Police Department has charged Jahmar R. with felony Robbery in the 3rd –Degree and felony Grand Larceny in the 3rd-Degree.

The second individual that was detained in the vehicle stopped was questioned and release.  

Daniels will be arraigned Tuesday morning in Schenectady City Court.

At the rate Schenectady city and county and plex dems are taxing the homeowners, the day may come when homeowners turn to robbing banks in order to pay their taxes.  Sad TRUTH about how how the dems are ROBBING from the homeowners to lavish their rich political cronies, while the "nobody" dem cheerleaders hope for a piece of those riches

How did the Rotterdam police know to be looking for this guy? Does anyone know?

Yeah, the taxpayers should go to Trustco for their tax money, because we are paying their taxes on that building downtown they couldn't unload so a friendly politician took it off their hands at our expense. A classic win/lose. Come to think of it, RPD should send this guy into the bank once a week or sountil the taxpayers get paid back.
