So I go to PC on Eastern Ave. I have one large bag of bottles to return before I shop. The bottle area was packed, so I get in line.

Some woman is yelling F this and F that that one of the machines is down. At the window a guy is taking bottles. So I go to the window
and wait my turn.

The guy at the window being yelled at and he explains someone is coming to change the bin.

The guy in front of me gets done, so I start putting my bottles on the shelf to the door, about halfway though a "manager" comes out
and she says the guy can not take anymore botltles from the window, my bag half empty by then. I asked her if I could just finish my
bag as there are not many left. She says no they are short staffed etc.

So I go over to the bottle return where the bin is full to wait for it to be emptied. A woman says its not working I said thats ok Ill wait. So
then you hear the bin being changed, I go to put my first bottle in and this woman shoves me back and says she was in line ahead of
me. She wasn't she had gone to another section.

By then having stood so long I'm weak and I don't like confrontations. So I just said calm down its just bottles and I walk away. I bring
the rest of the bottles into the store and see the same woman manager. I said can you donate these or something as it is to chatoic in
the bottle area and I was shoved. She said she alleady had security heading over there.

She said they cannot take donated bottles but she new a man who comes in everyday and would take them.

So by then I'm shaky and start shopping, go to get a Mrs Smiths cocunut cream pie out of the freezer top shelf and the dam thing
wasnt frozen dripped all over me , the cart and my purse.  >

So brought the pie to an employee to let them know the freezer is not working.

Then get in a long line as they don't have enough cashiers.

Glad to be home.

Bad enough I have to live in the ghetto can't even get away from it to get my groceries.

Mistake #1 is going to a Price Chopper
Mistake #2 is going to the Price Chopper on Eastern Parkway

If you have to walk, you are of course limited.

But if you don't, you should avoid that Price Chopper at all costs.

Of course civilization was not like this 20+ years ago, but it has devolved to where the masses resemble Idiocracy.

Patches is right, I had trouble reaching the manager about an incident I considered highly out of line there, I told the minion that was okay, I was goingto be seeing Neil soon anyway, damned if the store manager didn't suddenly have time to call me right back!
I'm sorry that happened to you, rfp. They put that bottle area outside so they didn't have to deal with it. The people who use it, many of them, see any form of "authority", even a supermarket employee, as a branch of "the government", and as such, the "authorities" owe them something, so they goin there looking for a fight.
I told the manager way back when, that they needed full-time security in there. Sometimes there is a cop, often there is no one but employees.
Curiously, sometimes I go in PriceRite, I would say most of their customers are on the low income side, but there is much less of the lowlife behavior in the store.
Grown women looking to fight over a soda deposit line. I've seen that before in there, but, My God, our society has degenerated this bad?

Was just talking to my brother who lives in Guilderland he said he'll bring me to the market there and I said you don't want to do that I
won't want to leave

When the manager said that I could  not turn in the rest of my bottles, I did tell her I wasnt feeling well could I please just finish, not that I wanted special "treatment" just equal as the man in front of me had. oh well.

I know i"m uptight also concerning a situation in JB Park thats been happening the last two days, I have to inform someone of it,
thinking VR.

Its teenagers hanging in the park with young kids about 8 to 9 years old and MAKING them fight, not play fighting.    I cannot begin or don't want to imagine how these young children are living.

Was told this is how they are initiated into the gangs.

Just makes me ill.

I recommended to city hall/police in the past to station a police car at JB Park, its a perfect spot as if they get a call its the center of the
Hill.

Its going to be a very bad summer, and no safe act will prevent it .

Notice how people who live here and venture out into the community have a much different viewpoint about how bad things are in these areas. The drop in crowd will tell us we don't know as much about it as they do.

Hannaford can be better to go for bottles, but they often have the "bottle men" the garbage pickers and their mountains of bottles.

You would think with recycling, there would be no need for a bottle deposit, that we would put stuff into the recycling bin.  Really, what's the difference between a bottle of soda and a bottle of juice or a bottle of milk?

So why do I have to have one bin for bottles of one kind and a different bin for bottles of another kind, when the bottles from one bin I have to take to the store to get the extra money refunded.

Sure we CAN put the soda/beer bottles and cans into our trash recycling bin, but we won't get the extra 5 cents per bottle back

So why don't those in authority eliminate the deposit altogether and we will just put our soda/beer cans and bottles into our recycling bins that go to the curb?

The majority of people in town would properly put stuff into our recycling bins.  In the city, it would be a different store sadly.  The city should really require clear trash bags and just not pick up the trash if it's not in clear bags.  Then if the clear bags have recyclables in them, also the city shouldn't pick it up.  But that wouldn't result in people recycle   rather it would just result in a health mess in the city.  Can you imagine landlords evicting tenants if tenants didn't recycle and the city fined the landlord?  City court would need to operate 24/7.

So how about requiring a deposit on everything, bottles of milk, mayo jars, ketchup bottles, butter tubs, aluminum foil, newspapers, cereal boxes, etc.

I was going to post something about my imagination, but it will probably be used sometime

Listen, I saw a middle class person go crazy over not being able to return a can for 5 cents....after being told that that person had to hand the returns  over to her employer....true story

this is another kind of person who is greedy and uneducated as to what is honest and what is not......who wants to be bothered for deposit money....you can[t even buy a pack of gum with it.

Call it renaissance. Eastern Avenue's ghetto did not happen in a vacuum. It is DEM public policy. Taxpayers out-DSS "clients" in. Hamilton Hill has exploded into Mt P, across State and up Eastern.
McCheese City DEM stylin. If Viggi doesn't get help in November call in an airstrike.

The middle class in the city is almost successfully eradicated.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Well just got off the phone with price chopper, can't talk to administrative office, they pass the word on. Told woman what happened she
connected me with store manager. So I had to go through the whole story and he said I had a bad experience and to stop in and see
him he would give me a gift card. I said I didnt call for a gift card, I called because of the whole incident and the way the employee
"treated" me, I told him I know they have no control over the customers actions but they do with how employees treat people. I told him the man that started taking my bottles was very nice.

Again he says stop in and see him for a gift card I was upset by then and said I don't want a gift card but thanks anyways and I hung up the phone.

I've been shopping there so many years, I guess change is good.
