"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
You are so focused on those elements you want to exploit that you simply do not see the big picture...... Do you honestly believe their voting record was in the best interest of the people? Why were they absent for certain voting that was critical (how come you don't question that? Why did they seem intent on votnig through bills mostly that benefited their state (how come you don't questions that? Their votes are slanted and self-serving.
Of course the votes are cast for their state or district's interests. That is the way the system is designed. Representatives from down state NY voted for the SAFE ACT even though the majority in upstate residents opposed it. If the residents of Kentucky don't think it is beneficial to spend their money to fund states law enforcement through the violence against women act, then it is the responsibility for their government reps to vote against it. I think the assumption that you know what is best for the people in the entire country is what makes you draw the conclusion that state reps are self serving. Rand Paul and Ron Paul's votes are against federal spending. I don't know how that is self serving. Unless curbing government largess even for their own constituents is somehow self serving.
Rand Paul celebrated his primary victory at an exclusive country club that had a history of not accepting Black people. Rand Paul is a man of the people, yet he celebrates where regular people aren’t allowed. Elitist southern golf clubs, like the Bowling Green Country Club have a history of discriminating against Black people, women, Jews and anyone who isn’t rich.
Despite the fact that Ron Paul criticized Sarah Palin by calling her a Country Club Republican, Paul’s son Rand makes it a point to prove he is a country club Republican.

Politicians often find out that they were given money from people with questionable motives or backgrounds. Most often they give that money back. Not Rand Paul. White Supremacist groups and websites such as Stormfront regularly raise “money bombs” for Rand Paul and link directly to his site. He has also taken money from white supremacist William Johnson, who his father nominated for a judgeship and Carl Ford who is a member of the league of the South.

Oh looky even the same old arguments from his fathers campaign, desperation.

Understand looking out for the state...but stil have obligation to look out for the country...and they really don't. You have your view...but if they were NY representatives: (A) You'd be blasting them (B) I'd vote them out
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
Box Glenn Beck is a sellout, does anyone even listen to him anymore?
