Yup. I remember when the G Worst Bush "Tax Cut for the Rich" was first proposed. Ted Kennedy said that he would benefit a great deal from this tax cut, and he would probably invest the money, like most people do, where they can get the best return. He then said that this Tax Cut For The Wealthy would do little for the working man and nothing for the poor.
For those who make most of their money from Capitol Gains, the most work they do is sign papers and call their broker... they got a tax cut. For the guy who wakes up at 5am every day, takes the bus to work, while his wife drops the kids off at daycare along with a check, on her way to work... the Bush Tax Cut For The Rich, did little, nothing, or made matters worse.
I wonder how TBird figures that Ted Kennedy getting a piece of @ss is related to denial of Climate Change???
You guys went off topic, not me... Getting back to your statement that the middle class are those that actually work.... I'm sure the Lawyer who works 12 hour days 6 days a week or the doctor that is on call 24/7 would have an issue with your claim.
And another thing about the 5am middle class riser who takes the bus to work... when he's done with work, he's done... he doesn't have a cell phone that will go off at 3am, or have to check email WHILE on vacation.... "Work", as you put it, isn't nearly as simplistic as you want to be.

A redistribution of wealth? YES! Instead of redistributing wealth by giving tax breaks to oil companies and to the wealthiest of Americans, a more equitable "redistribution" of incentives that favor those who actually DO WORK... the American middle class. Are you in favor of tax breaks for the wealthy at the expense of the middle class??? The G Worst Bush Plan???
I hear the words, but don't believe for a minute that you are interested in stopping tax breaks for the rich, while pillaging the middle and lower income families.
You have never uttered one word about it happening in Schenectady County, because the Democrats are in charge.
You simply want to bash Republicans.
You always rant about the 1% that gets all the favoritism, yet you are silent when the local Democratic machine robs from the poor to dish out corporate welfare.
Your inconsistent support displays your real agenda.
Box you forget there are more taxes to pay than Federal tax, like state and local taxes. Don't you think that your plan unfairly taxes the middle class that have to pay their bills plus support their families. My point is when is it time to stop taxing the middle class beyond their ability to pay?
As posted above: Almost two-thirds of the 47 percent work, and their payroll taxes help finance Social Security and Medicare. Accounting for this, the share of households paying no net federal taxes falls to 28 percent.
More directly, many households pay federal taxes on gasoline, beer and cigarettes. And then there are state and local sales, property and income taxes — all of which are often less progressive than the federal income tax. Putting all these together, a family of three with an income of $30,000 would owe no federal income tax. But they could easily pay more than $4,500, or 15 percent of their income, in taxes.

why there should be no income tax....we wouldn't be having a STUPID issue with yacht tax credit....WTF....stuff like that is ALL OVER the tax code....both regressive and progressive.....
it should be very very very simple for the simplest of persons to understand.....
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

What do conservative policy intellectuals think about climate change?
"The Republican presidential field consists of people who refuse to accept the science of climate change and people who just don’t want to do anything about it. This is partly because the most popular right-wing pundits on Fox News and talk radio, like Rush Limbaugh, attack Republican politicians who do trust the overwhelming scientific consensus. No surprise there, since anti-intellectualism is intrinsic to the appeal of right-wing talk radio.
But what about conservative intellectuals? Do they have anything more to offer? In an attempt to find out, I looked through their op-eds, opinion magazines, and policy journals. I found that most of them fall into three broad categories: those who argue for adaptation instead of trying to stop climate change (the Adapters), the anguished advocates of a carbon tax (the Handwringers), and those who simply deny climate science (the Deans of Denialism)." http://grist.org/politics/what-do-conservative-policy-intellectuals-think-about-climate-change/

People claiming science to be factual have been around forever.
It wasn't so long ago that nearly the entire collective consciousness of the Earth, believed the world was flat.
The Earth was the center of the universe was a well known fact.
Until Copernicus managed to trick the entire world into believing that our Sun was the center of the universe.
We now have photos showing uncountable number of galaxies numbering into the billions, if you choose to believe that science can accurately predict the size and creation timeline of the entire universe, based on observations of a few centuries on a planet that occupies less than ... well we don't actually even have a number or estimate of how small a part our planet plays in the universe, because we don't have any way to measure the known universe for comparison. We occupy a portion of the universe that is so small that it is still unmeasurable.
What chance is there that all of what we call the known universe, is anywhere near the actual size of all creation?
Scientific facts are pretty much theories and opinions that change like the weather.
With enough propaganda, nearly the entire collective consciousness of the Earth can be persuaded to call it a well known fact.
Climate Change IS A FACT... Unless you're a Conservative Invested in Pollution.
"The world’s top climate scientists are warning us that the changing climate already affects the air our kids breathe,” Obama said. “The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security.”

Apple just released its 2015 Environmental Responsibility Report, which addressed hot-button issues like climate change. Before talking about how the company would be reducing its effects on the environment in the coming year, it got straight to the point and said:
“We don’t want to debate climate change. We want to stop it.”
