The Bastard!  He actually cares about survival of all species and the sustainability of our ecosystems.
He is passionate about protecting the earth!
  Low Life Scum!

Yup!

A scientific body was led for 13 years by a environmentalist who thinks protecting the planet is a religious calling.

Seems totally neutral and legit!

Oh, and let's not forget that he's a long standing sexual predator.

Bucky wants an environmentalist who is indifferent to protecting the planet.
Figures!

Climategate Revisited
(On alleged false data on Climate Change)
Quoted Text
The supposed manipulation of data by East Anglia and other scientists in the Climategate
affair also proved to be completely unfounded, as we have written twice before.
Climate skeptics claimed that leaked emails between many climate scientists around the world showed
there was a coordinated effort to inflate the global warming signal in temperature data. But several
separate investigations, including by the U.S. Department of Commerce Inspector General and the
Environmental Protection Agency, found no such wrongdoing or manipulation.
According to one independent international investigation, known informally as the Oxburgh Report:
“We saw no evidence of any deliberate scientific malpractice in any of the work of the Climatic
Research Unit and had it been there we believe that it is likely that we would have detected it.”
Palmer’s spokesman said the congressman had no comment on the repetition of this claim in spite
of the repeated exonerations.

Ice age
An ice age is a period of long-term reduction in the temperature of Earth's climate, resulting in an expansion of the continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and mountain glaciers.
Glaciologically, ice age is often used to mean a period of ice sheets in the northern and southern hemispheres; by this definition we are still in an ice age (because the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets still exist).
More colloquially, when speaking of the last few million years, ice age is used to refer to colder periods with extensive ice sheets over the North American and Eurasian continents: in this sense, the most recent ice age ended about 10,000 years ago.
There are three main types of evidence for ice ages: geological, chemical, and paleontological.
Geological evidence for ice ages comes in various forms, including rock scouring and scratching, glacial moraines, drumlins, valley cutting, and the deposition of till or tillites and glacial erratics.
Successive glaciations tend to distort and erase the geological evidence, making it difficult to interpret.
It took some time for the current theory to be worked out.
There have been at least four major ice ages in the Earth's past.
Outside these periods, the Earth seems to have been ice-free even in high latitudes.

OF COURSE there is climate change......and there's nothing we can do about it.......

How do we know about past ice ages? Scientists have reconstructed past ice ages by piecing together information derived from studying ice cores, deep sea sediments, fossils, and landforms.

Ice and sediment cores reveal an impressive detailed history of global climate. Cores are collected by driving long hollow tubes as much as 2 miles deep into glacial ice or ocean floor sediments. Ice cores provide annual and even seasonal climate records for up to hundreds of thousands of years, complementing the millions of years of climate records in ocean sediment cores.

Within just the past couple of decades, ice cores recovered from Earth’s two existing ice sheets, Greenland and Antarctica, have revealed the most detailed climate records yet.

Do ice ages come and go slowly or rapidly? Records show that ice ages typically develop slowly, whereas they end more abruptly. Glacials and interglacials within an ice age display this same trend.

On a shorter time scale, global temperatures fluctuate often and rapidly. Various records reveal numerous large, widespread, abrupt climate changes over the past 100,000 years. One of the more recent intriguing findings is the remarkable speed of these changes. Within the incredibly short time span (by geologic standards) of only a few decades or even a few years, global temperatures have fluctuated by as much as 15°F (8°C) or more.

For example, as Earth was emerging out of the last glacial cycle, the warming trend was interrupted 12,800 years ago when temperatures dropped dramatically in only several decades. A mere 1,300 years later, temperatures locally spiked as much as 20°F (11°C) within just several years. Sudden changes like this occurred at least 24 times during the past 100,000 years. In a relative sense, we are in a time of unusually stable temperatures today—how long will it last?

Warming in the Peer-Reviewed Literature

A new survey of over 12,000 peer-reviewed climate science papers by our citizen science team at Skeptical
Science has found a 97% consensus among papers taking a position on the cause of global warming in the
peer-reviewed literature that humans are responsible.

How many Scientists disagreed with Global Warming?
0.7%  Reject Global Warming
0.3%  Are Uncertain On Global Warming.

What caused the last 5 ice ages to end and caused a rise in global temperatures during those times.

In film[edit]
The 2012 science fiction fantasy film titled Prometheus by Ridley Scott has a resemblance to the myth largely through a coincidence of name.[90] Of the three principal mythological themes associated with the myth of the titan Prometheus, that is, the eternal punishment, the theft of fire, and the creation of man, it is with this latter theme that the film seems to be at least partially concerned. In the science fiction film, one of the wealthy lead characters in the future spends vast sums of money in order to locate the extraterrestrials who he believes were responsible for the creation of man. His hope is that if he finds his 'creators,' they will be able somehow to extend his life. In this belief he is straightforwardly disappointed.

Benji Taylor writing in an extensive three-part essay on the science fiction film titled Prometheus, published between 22 June 2012 and 17 July 2012, identified the eight key themes in understanding the film as including: "Aliens Seeded Life On Earth," "Insignificance and Futility," "Interwoven Notions of Creation and Destruction," "Parental Issues," "The Nature of the Soul," "Existential Loss," and "Science and Religion."[91][92][93] Of these themes covered in the film, Taylor identifies that only the theme of "Parental Issues" appears to have a general reference point to the myth of Prometheus stating that in the "mythology between the Titan Prometheus and the chief Olympian Zeus but on a more global level it's an echo of the tribulation embodied in the Titanomachy -- the archetypal war between parent and child which was the great 'War of the Titans and Olympians' that shook the Greek mythological world to its core."[94]

exactly....WE CAN'T STOP what the earth has been doing for millions of years....but they are still not sure if we can slow it down...

we are so clueless to how the universe was formed (not speaking of a god) that there is very very very little we can do on this piece
of dust....

remember Horton hears a who? that's us.....

we will cease to exist here on earth...maybe we make it to another planet or maybe our alien makers come back to check on us
