I actually watched that thing. I didn't switch it on myself, I was with someone who wanted to see it. The beginning was a big time waste, a sketch remniscent of some old sixties variety show, except more vulgar, too many people involved who had nothing to do with motion pictures, too much time spent with actors and actresses hogging the spotlight, out of their depth, dancing, singing, doing comedy routines when they are not dancers, singers, or comedians. Then the real talent get their one moment in the public eye, the behind the scenes greats who actually make these movies, and they get practically pushed off the stage! Even Ben Affleck, he had to race through his acceptance speech. Why do they put up with that? A metaphor for our society, I think.
Shirley Bassey was a real treat.

Honestly I'd rather watch re-runs of Honey Boo-Boo...
It's another awards show, full of pretentious people who love having the world "look at them" as often as possible and probably have bruises for all the pats on the back.

somehow these actors/actresses got to be in the 1%'er class...back in Shakespeare's day they were the ones who just couldn't hold
a regular joe job...they were superfluous...as they still are today but the masses still elevate them as if they are
'special humans' who then get to say they talked to a politician....

WTF is wrong with us? no really folks....actors/actresses/singer/songwriters are richer than us because we pay them to be...

get it!!!

Who cares what they do...they have never been to dinner at my house for thanksgiving and I have never been to their
home for thanksgiving....

without this fiat/legal/intellectual laws/patents.....THEY ARE STILL JUST ACTORS/ACTRESSES...NOTHING GREAT!!!

the system is rigged against the 99% because of our own choices/acceptances ,,,no different than the Daddy Bloomberg sh!t

Class acts are far and few between these days.....it's way too bad that everyone doesn;t understand this......Tony Bennett, Perry Como, even Elvis has more class than most that were at this joke.
