Regional Housing Sales Continue to Improve-Contracts of Sale Indicate Trend Should Continue
Based on statistics released today housing sales in the Capital Region continue to improve continuing a trend begun in 2012; and indicators would predict continuing improvement.
“Closed sales in January 2013 were up by 2% from January 2012. While this is not a large increase it is a continuation of a trend which began early last year and has continued ever since. This is good news for all Capital Region home owners.”
“For those persons who look to sales prices as their metric we can report that the median sales price this January is up by 5% from last January. This is reassurance for property owners that their investment in housing is solid."
And if you are waiting for interest rates to drop lower you may well miss the wonderful opportunity which exists today. Prices are appreciating and interest rates are at historic lows.”
The first 8 years of Democratic leadership has brought tremendous improvements to Schenectady --- the next 8 years of Democratic leadership will bring even more improvements.
The Renaissance goes on and on ....
. The RENAISSANCE continues!
Don’t get me wrong, I DO understand that this is a one month only, one should never look at one month only sales exclusively, but the trend continues and the mayor MUST REASSESS the WHOLE CITY BEFORE the tentative roll May 1. The median sales price of homes sold in the city in January 2012 was $84,382 when 21 houses sold. The median sales price of homes sold in the city in January 2013 is $57,000 when only 13 houses sold!!!! Now HOW does the mayor claim things are getting better and homes are selling? The "nayboobs" do NOT lie, the "nayboobs" report the TRUTH with EVIDENCE to prove it! Now WHERE are those "tremendous improvements" under Democrat leadership? The FACT is that the numbers of houses actually getting sold is decreasing while the numbers of houses being put up for sale is increasing. PROOF POSITIVE that people are FLEEING THE CITY. YES, You DID read that number correctly. Fifty-seven thousand dollars |
