Who thought of that for you?

It accompanied the clip:

Jon Stewart in the four minute snippet below illustrates the dilemma. He uses
Trump to show the racist inclination that is readily accepted. He uses Bachmann and
Palin to show the alternate state of reality many GOP principals put out at prominent
events. He then uses the Conservatives’ latest savior, renowned neurosurgeon Ben
Carson who turned out to be just another very intelligent person but a member of
the evangelical Right Wing faction.

My mistake.

A Very White Republican Party Plans Minority Outreach

Quoted Text
"As the Republican Party gears up to launch a concerted, well-funded outreach effort
aimed at attracting elusive minority voters, it's not just battling dismal poll numbers and tough
demographic trends -- it's working to overcome its own overwhelming whiteness."

"There is not a single racial minority among the 20 most senior officials who run the Republican
National Committee, National Republican Congressional Committee, and National Republican
Senatorial Committee -- the three wings of the GOP apparatus charged with promoting candidates
and winning elections. This lack of diversity has paralyzed the party's ability to connect with
minority communities..."

"We have become a party that parachutes into communities four months before an election,"
Priebus told CBS. "In comparison to the other side, the Obama campaign lived in these communities
for years. The relationships were deep, they were authentic."

it's a DIRTY SHAME that parties use labels and keep everyone so 'organized' like a freakin' deck of cards.....worse yet...

WE ALLOW IT!!!

the dems do it
the reps do it

forget the elephant in the room, let's all talk about 'what the government has done for me today'

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

No Bigots Here!

Rep. Don Young (R-AK), in an interview with KRBD:

Quoted Text
"My father had a ranch. We used to hire 50 or 60 wetbacks and
-- to pick tomatoes. You know, it takes two people to pick the same tomatoes now.
It's all done by machine."

Republicans Increasingly Isolated on Major Issues

Quoted Text
"One thing that remains striking about our politics right now is the degree to which public
opinion among Republicans is increasingly isolated and drifting away from the rest of the electorate.
You see this on pretty much every major issue facing the country."

"All of which is to say that there seems to be little incentive for GOP politicians, particularly ones
who are insulated from national opinion in safe districts with a lot of GOP base voters, to compromise
with Obama or Democrats."
Greg Sargent

Ya can't make this stuff up!

North Carolina Official State Religion

Republican North Carolina state legislators have proposed allowing an official state religion in a
measure that would declare the state exempt from the Constitution and court rulings.

The bill, filed Monday by two GOP lawmakers from Rowan County and backed by nine other
Republicans, says each state "is sovereign" and courts cannot block a state "from making
laws respecting an establishment of religion."

The Republican Sequester

President Obama Gives Back 5% of His Salary

President Obama is going to be writing the government a check every month for 5% of his
salary as a show of unity with federal workers impacted by the Republican sequester.
That’s $20,000 a year. If Republicans are so concerned about the deficit that they were
willing to allow the sequester to kick in, surely they will step up to follow the President’s
fiscal example.

Finally, Birthers Pay for their Bigotry.

Quoted Text
American taxpayers are getting their wish to have birthers forced to pay for their
frivolous delusions.
In Brooklyn, Judge Arthur Schack condemned birther Christopher Earl Strunk to pay $177,000
for wasting the court’s time with his ‘frivolous’ lawsuit,.
Judge Arthur Schack, called the allegations, “fanciful, delusional and irrational.”

Oral And Anal Sex Should Be ‘Crimes Against Nature’ In Virginia

Virginia Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli has filed a petition with the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals
in Richmond asking the full 15-judge court to reconsider a decision by a three-judge panel last month
that overturned the state’s sodomy law.

The three-judge panel ruled 2-1 on March 12 that a section of Virginia’s “Crimes Against Nature”
statute that outlaws sodomy between consenting adults, gay or straight, is unconstitutional based
on a U.S. Supreme Court decision in 2003 known as Lawrence v. Texas.

Republicans Side With Iran And North Korea, Oppose UN Treaty
To Keep Weapons From Terrorists

Senate Republicans and the National Rifle Association are preparing to side with the likes of Iran
and North Korea in opposition to a U.N. Arms Trade Treaty that would help prevent weapons
from falling into the hands of terrorists and human rights violators.

The United Nations General Assembly passed the international treaty by a vote of 154-3 with 23
nations abstaining from voting.
The Tuesday vote marked the first time the U.N. has attempted to regulate the global arms trade
in an effort to keep weapons of war from those who would commit acts of terror and human rights
violations. The only three countries to oppose the treaty were Iran, North Korea, and Syria.

The Republican Party is doing such a terrible job, and is held in such low regard, that their
own website doesn't even use the word "REPUBLICAN"... except where required in it's disclaimer
hidden at the bottom of the page.

Don't blame me... If I were a Republican leader, I'd hide it too!
