A running list of these news items to include when election time approaches.
Then present them to the dem candidates in a debate, and tell them this happened on their watch and what have they got to say for themselves.
Also it would be noteworthy for the opponents, regardless of party, to incorporate this in all campaign literature, brochures, etc.
I'm not talking every shooting, every fire, etc, but rather things like:
- "City of Schenectady denied car loan, Feb 2013...." Then the residents/voters need to be told what interest rate would have been charged under normal circumstances and what the interest rate is IF the city can eve get a loan, and then state the total difference in cost, and highlight HOW this affects the property taxes.
- The story about the Mr James hairstylist, 80 year business of downtown, closing despite not wanting to, and how it was not given any help from plex, and that the billionaire Mitchell doesn't pay taxes for his hair place downtown.
- The tax rates, the fees, and typical tax bill for a typical assessed house just prior to the dem (Stratton) leadership, and present the tax rate, the fees, and the typical tax bill for the same house with it's current assessment today, and of course include the equalization rate.
- Details about home sales when Stratton took over, and now.
Wish I had the time, I'd do it and send it to the opponents
