I just stopped and got a box o dogs with the works.
As I ate the first one I was surprised when I got near the end I had 1 1/2 inches of bun left but no dog.
So I pushed all the dogs to one end of each bun and sure enough, the hotdogs have been downsized in length and seemed smaller in diameter as well. In the end I was left with a pile of hot dog bun ends.
The problem L4L is your going to Broadway Lunch for hotdogs.

we just went to broadway lunch for their hot dogs and onion rings last week.....we thought they were great and honestly we didn't notice the size of the hot dog. tasted great tho!!
in defense of most businesses....their suppliers/wholesalers are raising prices, adding fuel charges and are keeping low inventories. it appears that some retailers are shrinking the product instead of raising prices.

Newest has good dogs Also they have a great egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich.
I've used to go to Broadway Lunch in the late 60's and 70's, they did have the best hotdogs in the city.
My grandfather used to take me to Newest Lunch or Mikes on Erie Blvd. for dogs.
Mikes gives you pencil sized dogs now.
My grandfather used to make giant German style hot dogs. He ran the smoke house at Wasserman's Meat Market/slaughter house on Broadway across from the Ten Eyck Apartments back in the 50's and 60's.
Newest, by far, has the best dogs in this shithole of a city.
So good that they were even featured on Hotdog Paradise 2 on the Travel Channel

It's called inflation. Half gallon ice cream are no longer half gallons, some beer is 11.5 ounces instead of the traditional 12 ounces, and cereal boxes are half filled but the same size box you are accustom to seeing. Smaller products in larger packaging is the unnoticed inflation. That is not to mention the cheaper fillers to add weight to the products.
The Greek "Pan-Gregorian" is a group that the Greeks all formed to save money. They have renamed it now so it appeals to restauranteurs who are not Greek. I forget the name. There really is not a quality ethic anymore, it is a "save a few pennies" ethic that they operate by now. If they can save 1/10th of a penny per cup of coffee they use cheaper coffee, if they can save 3 cents a dog they downsize the dog. That is why they all aren't worth a crap anymore. This has occurred over the past 10-15 years and lately it is Baaaaaaaaaad. No surprise. The philosophy shpuld be quality, raise the price a nickle if they have to, and cut down on the menu offerings to do 20 things good instead of doing 300 things mediocre. But they really are not foodists or understanding of culinary wants. What can you do?

Yeah, he looks like he eats healthy, huh? Another democrat LIE. Just like hie LIE: "the county taxes are lowest in 50 years" which he has not provided ANY EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER1 He will not even so much provide any response about THAT comment he made, he figures if he doesn't respond about the county taxes at all--whether to keep claiming they were the lowest in 50 years (at the time he made that comment) or to admit he has really has no clue, or anything in between.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

No, it's not.
If it was, then it would have been featured on 'Hot Dog Paradise 2'.
