Don't agree with the law, buit think the Mayor is using it as an opportunity for attention.
So will you enforce it or will you refuse? Serious question by the way because I know some in law enforcement who are also regular gun owners and I highly doubt they will turn in their guns that hold over 8 rounds.

If elected politicians don't want to enforce the laws of NY state or the USA... they should resign and make way for someone who will.
"I do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New York and the Charter of the City and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of the mayor of the City to the best of my ability."
Who interprets the meaning of the Constitution of the United States??? Mayors??? County Sheriffs? The Governor??? NOPE The Supreme Court has the responsibility to interpret the Constitution of the United States.

Nope! Each individual has the responsibility to interpret the constitution. Just another example of giving your sovereignty to an appointed authority.
That problem with authority again huh Cic? I know, I know... Authority has always been an issue with you. Police, elected officials, your dad, teachers when you were in school... unless you seek help, resentment and anger toward any authority figure may be a problem for you for the rest of your life.

Does that pertain to your President also??? You know, the one who refuses to enforce the immigration law uniformly?

Exactly... He is also subject to the US Constitution, as we all are. When it comes to the 2nd amendment, I don't want some backwoods "oathkeeper" sheriff or some "Hick'ville" Mayor interpreting the Constitution. That job belongs to the US Supreme court... Don't you agree???

I agree... so you are admitting Obama's refusal to enforce US immigration law uniformly per his Executive order is wrong?

I'm sorry founding fathers but in the interest of public safety, the President had issued executive orders limiting you to only carry 10 bullets each.
I agree... so you are admitting Obama's refusal to enforce US immigration law uniformly per his Executive order is wrong?
According to some experts and Charles Krauthammer
Quoted Text
" I think it makes the case that Scalia, and Alito, and Thomas made that this administration's intent on not enforcing the law in as many ways as it can. And that any claim therefore by the Court or buy the Justice Department of what Arizona is doing is undermining the federal law. It's not. It's undermining the federal policy under this administration of not enforcing the law. And it's simply weird and bizarre to call that an appropriation of the federal law by the mistake. It's not and it is therefore constitutional," Krauthammer said on the "Special Report" All Star panel.

I thought the Constitution was written for the people? I thought is was a government of "We the People"? You are saying that our guaranteed rights and freedoms are not to be interpreted by the individual but instead dictated by the appointed judges?
Box, showing his inability to discern information for himself and has to wait for the authority to tell him what the Constitution says. Woof, Woof...Roll over...Sit....Stay...That's a good doggy.
It's funny how box considers asking permission to exercise his second amendment rights by requiring he be subjected to a government background check and listed in a permanent data base as his guarnateed right to bear arms. Imagine that the free press or your freedom of speech could only be exercised only after being cleared by the government after going through a background check and receiving permission from the local police chief like in the case of obtaining a hand gun permit. Or that every word you said or every article the media printed had to be cleared by a government agency and was stored into a national data base.
Yup, that's how box views guaranteed Constitutional rights. You can exercise those rights only after being pre-approved to exercise those rights.
