Then don't say "any" citizen can purchase a gun under this new legislation. Say that only citizens the government deem qualified can own certain guns approved by the government. Be accurate.
I thought I covered that with:
"Clearly, almost no one thinks that the Right to Bear Arms is an unlimited right... for any kind of weapon for any purpose by anyone... Like most RIGHTS, the 2nd has limitations."

Oh, political double speak. Two contradictory positions on one statement.
The legislation regulates who can own a gun, but anyone one can own a gun.

Really Cic?
Playing with words? Is that the best ya got???
I stand by my post:
"The legislation proposed will DISARM no one. Any citizen who could purchase a weapon before this legislation can purchase a weapon after it's enacted. Has anyone's right to purchase a weapon been taken away by these laws?"

You admitted that the legislation is restrictive to mentally ill, then say any citizen who could purchase a weapon beforecan purchase a weapon after. You can stand by it all you want, it doesn't make it any less inaccurate.
and lets not forget that most in the military are on government issued mind altering drugs....and it's 'on record'....NO GUNS FOR THEM!!!

So Cic. Is your position that ALL CITIZENS have a right to purchase wepons, unrestricted under the 2nd amendment? Every citizen, the mentally deranged, the convicted mass murders, previous killers, admitted lunitics, citizens who promise if given access to a weapon will murder all the people they can... Is that your position Cic???

Just pointing out you misleading post. You said ANY citizen that could purchase a gun prior to the proposed federal legislation could purchase one after. You don't have to ask me a loaded question, just come clean and say you were wrong and that there WILL BE gun restrictions.
Law would fire sheriffs for defying gun control measures March 27, 2013 | 1:22 pm | Modified: March 27, 2013 at 1:25 pm
Supporters of the 380 sheriffs in 15 states who so far have vowed to defy new state and federal gun control laws claim that legislation is starting to pop up around the nation to fire any state elected or appointed law enforcement official who doesn't obey federal orders.
The first effort emerged in Texas. Legislation proposed by Dallas Democratic Rep. Yvonne Davis would remove any sheriff or law enforcement officer who refuses to enforce state or federal laws.
What's more, it would remove any elected or appointed law enforcement officer for simply stating or signing any document stating that they will not obey federal orders.
A gun lobbyist told Secrets, "Beware because once something like this is introduced in one state, it will be followed very quickly in several other states."

State officials say it will cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair damage to the grass in a downtown Albany park where opponents of New York’s gun-control law held a large rally outside the Capitol.
Office of General Services spokeswoman Heather Groll says Tuesday that it will cost an estimated $60,000 to replace the grass in West Capitol Park, including $30,000 for materials and another $30,000 for labor.

Ban the right to assemble. It's expensive and unsafe.
Are you suggesting that the gun group didn't have the right to assemble Cicero???
Of course they had that right... they also had the responsibility to reemburse the taxpayers for the damage ( vandalism) done to taxpayer property.

Protests should be regulated and the government must make them purchase protest insurance to pay for any damages. It only makes sense. Universal protester insurance!!!

First Cicero suggested that GunHuggers do not have the right of assembly... Now he wants to force them to buy 'assembly insurance'.
Another Libertarian meltdown.
