AIDS spreading when we can easily reduce those numbers is not 'OK' for me. Preventing AIDS was the goal, not 'changing human behavior'.
easily? really? you do know that some humans myself include take the easiest path to get their desire...if that means rolling over in some dirtbag hotel and asking the person next to you use their needle because you don't wan't to truck your a** to the clinic because it's raining out..... |

You completely ignore the fact that a certain percentage of people are corrupt, and that no law will change that, you will merely get them a higher price. OK, let's assume every person with a gun agrees to a background check before releasing the gun to a buyer. Next a nutcase wants a gun. He asks some heroin or crack addict to make the purchase. Nutcase wins, stupid law bypassed. You do understand the effects of prohibition and profiteering right? Go ahead, start another unwinnable enforcement action that will make the wrong people rich.
Supply and demand work in crime just as they do in the legal world. If the AWB causes the cost of an illegal AR15 to double in price, then it will no doubt put that price out of the range of some criminals. If they are less plentiful, there are less to be sold on the streets illegally. If a 30 round magazine is illegal, it won't be as available as it is today. One point that is often discounted by GunHuggers... If there is a definite background check for any legal gun purchase, those who are felons will not even bother attempting a gun sale at a gun show. It may not make it impossible to own an illegal assault weapon, but it will make it more difficult. IF all guns are traceable, all guns used in a crime can be traced to a legal owner and in many cases lead to a conviction. |

Nothing like gun grabbers yapping to tip the scales against themselves.
Carry concealed applications have went off the charts since the gun grabbers started whining.Plus, from Gallup, most Americans are satisfied with current gun laws.
43% are satisfied, 5% are dissatisfied by would like the laws less strict, and 8% would like the laws to remain the same.
That's 56% that don't want tougher gun laws.
38% are dissatisfied and want tougher gun laws. |

I wouldn't even require exchange, just make them freely available and no one would need to share. |

Oregon Internet Cafe GunHugger Shoots Himself With Holstered Gun! (Glad no reasonable person was injured)
Quoted Text
An Oregon man who was said to be “familiar with guns” accidentally shot himself with a holstered weapon that he was openly carrying at an Internet cafe in Eugene on Thursday.
Eugene Police said that a 26-year-old man was in the Indras Internet Lounge restroom at around 3 p.m. when his holstered gun discharged and hit him in the thigh. Five people were in the business at the time of the shooting.
“He drug himself out of the bathroom and we helped him tie a tourniquet around his leg,” cafe manager James Sherburne told The Register-Guard. “He got lucky, I think.”

Oh yeah L4L--that would have worked with the Newtown mother who bought the gun if she decided to sell it to her son--result would have been the same except he would have owned the gun leagally. |
