Just so you know... laws that are aimed at protecting targets of 'hate groups' like yours, are designed to protect the group that is in need of protection, by definition, the rest of society is not a target.
If the rest of society isn't a target, then why is there a gun violence debate? I thought the very purpose of the gun debate was to convince people that everybody in society is a target?
Just another law where government assigns values to lives, and in this case, the average citizen has less value. God Bless America.
You've made that perfectly clear Cic... you hate uniformed (costumed) Americans, but absolutely love those in civilian dress... like the Sept. 11th WTC attackers. They wore no 'costume' but dressed much like you.
Lol...He brings up September 11th 2001. Box is still fighting the ghosts of Christmas past 12 years later. I guess the "terrorists" won, seeing how box's mind is still gripped with fear about the 19 Saudi hijackers.(Has the federal government bombed Saudi Arabia yet?)
If a costumed America executes an uncostumed 16 year old boy in Yemen, box's nationalism and patriotism will force him to call those in costumes that carried the execution out as - HERO'S.

If your 16 year old boy in Yemen is a suicide bomber, I will call them 'successful', not hero's.

You're really making a habit of making wild accusation. I would harm anybody unless they are attemting to harm me.
There are only a few people on this board that killed people because they were wearing a costume, that is those "proudly" wearing the government issued costume that killed the people wearing the Vietcong costume.
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!
Was watching the Assemlby for about an hour Tedisco was great.

Wrong, Box... If the gun has a clip larger than 10 bullets, you MUST sell the clip out of state within a year, making your gun useless...unless you buy a new clip. And your "assault weapon" only legal for you in NYS...you can't transfer ownership in the state.
And if you don't register your "assault" weapon after one year you can be charged with a felony. How crazy is that. And say a Dad owns weapons, he CANNOT leave them to his grown child !!!! Have to be sold or destroyed within one year or they WILL be confiscated and destroyed.
Oh no!!! Not you too Joebxr? Your argument has been reduced to satirical cartoons too? Ahhh...It beats thinking doesn't it?
Gun Manufacturers throwing $$$ at the NRA!

Why can't a dad sell his guns to his adult kids... or anyone else???

There are lots of posts on this board that are LONG on OPINION, and SHORT on FACTS!
CNBC Posts:
~ " Establish a state registry for all private sales, with a background check done through a licensed dealer for a fee, excluding sales to immediate relatives.
- Further restrict assault weapons to define them by a single feature, such as a pistol grip. Current law requires two features.
- Make the unsafe storage of assault weapons a misdemeanor.
- Mandate a police registry of assault weapons.
- Require a therapist who believes a mental health patient made a credible threat to use a gun illegally to report the threat to a mental health director who would then have to report serious threats to the state Department of Criminal Justice Services. A patient's gun could be confiscated.
- Ban the Internet sale of assault weapons.
- Require stores that sell ammunition to register with the state, run background checks on buyers of bullets and keep an electronic database of bullet sales.
- Restrict ammunition magazines to seven bullets, from the current national standard of 10. Current owners of higher-capacity magazines would have a year to sell them out of state. Someone caught with eight or more bullets in a magazine could face a misdemeanor charge.
- Require that stolen guns be reported within 24 hours. Otherwise, the owner would face a possible misdemeanor.
- Increase sentences for gun crimes including for taking a gun on school property.
- Increase penalties for shooting first responders, called the "Webster provision." Two firefighters were killed when shot by a person who set a fire in the western New York town of Webster last month. The crime would be punishable by life in prison without parole.
- Limit the state records law to protect handgun owners from being identified publicly. The provision would allow a handgun permit holder a means to maintain privacy under the Freedom of Information law.
- Require pistol permit holders or those who will be registered as owners of assault rifles to be re certified at least every five years to make sure they are still legally able to own the guns.

Just called Assemblyman Santabarbara's office to find out how he plans to vote today. The people in his office don't even know. There's nobody answering the phones in Amsterdam, and Downtown, they say they don't know, he's on the floor and you can watch streaming and/or on TV to hear what he thinks. EVEN HIS STAFF DOESN'T KNOW. We all know what he'll do, the little marching Leftist.
See! I knew the anti govt types would hate protecting 'costumed' Americans.

Isn't a victim a victim? So you are saying a cop or firefighters life is worth more then the shop owner or bum that is killed, you don't see a problem with that. If there is a mandatory sentence for a crime it should be for the crime not for what profession or class the victim was, can you at least pull your head out of your a$$ and agree to that.
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."

Hate crimes have a different agenda, and thus a different punishment for the crime. A hate crime murder also carries a greater punishment because of the nature of the cause of the crime. Of course you already know this... you're just making excuses again and grasping at any perceived injustice to your anti govt cause!
