The "angry turds" (new name for Nayboobs) just like to hear themselves complain. The best solution is to just flush them down into the sewer where they feel most at home.
So, DV posts in reply to my post. But, of course AS USUAL, I HAVE AGAIN CORRECTLY PRECDICTED that DV would NOT, absolutely would NOT explain why fancy lighting is a necessity, at a time when the EXISTING lighting is more than adequate while at the same time no money is being spent to repair the other end of all the potholes and bumps that can cause damange to the cars of the people who are paying the highest taxes in the country.
I told you he would NOT address the issue of the fancy lighting

Erie Boulevard is going to look great when the project is done and so will Liberty Park --- step by step Schenectady County continues its Renaissance.

So if you are saying the purpose behind all this was to "look great" then taxpayer money has been pised away for no good reason once again. Now, if it was to fix crumbling roads and dangerous designs of the roadway, that would be great. The deterioration of Erie Blvd really begins at STATE going toward the old ALCO (your new Condo Village)....they should ahve addressed that first. Personally the huge wide blvd down by GE was historically reminiscent of the canal, and I liked it just the way it was. UPGRADES could have been done instead of the entire redo!!!!!!!!!
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

Absolutely!
Again, the City puts its...no...OUR taxpayer money in useless, facade projects!! You know that facade on the Broadway DSS building looks sh*t*ier every single day...here's your $16 million dollar check Mr. Galesi ...thanks for that eyesore!
The neighborhoods are crumbling, the roadways are a mess, the cops are making double their base pay, residency laws for positions of power in the City are ignored.....and we're in the hole by over $5 million.
I think I'm missing this whole Renaissance pipe dream???????

He's back in full swing again. Talking about a renaissance.
but DV, explain HOW it's a renaissance?
Higher taxes? Almost the highest taxes in the country? Is that what the renaissance means to you?
DRASTIC REDUCTION in the city's tax base - is THAT a sign of the renaissance? Is it? Of course you will NOT address that FACT will you----to embarrassed to admit that it's a big failure?
In a renaissance, wouldn't the city be improving and adding services? So how is the continual elimination of VITAL, ESSENTAL, NECESSARY services in conjunction with huge tax increase an indication of a renaissance? Can't explain that, can you.
If there is a renaissance, why are so many people trying to sell their homes, and even at drastically reduced prices and government handouts to entice people to buy, people STILL do NOT want to move INTO the city.
Of course, as I always CORRECTLY PREDICT, you will NOT answer those questions.
Spew your party line babble in hopes that someone in your party will give you a cushy do-nothing job, especially when your buddy McC is as big of a liar as you---states that his next police chief will have to live in the city which has been proven a big lie, so I guess now you think he'll give you some high level job and you won't have to move INTO the city.

Nice looking empty spaces don't benefit anyone.
Schenectady needs to actually become a better place to live and work, not just look great thanks to a $40 million dollar facade program throughout downtown.
The word facade is used as a figure of speech to describe the "face" that people show other people, as opposed to what they really think or do

Would it be fair then to say this project is a FARCEade
