...that is suspicious.   Stanford Ave

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Incident early this morning around 3 am or so State St, gunplay, fighting. Thought scanner reported 10-15 shots, not 100% on that. Cops chasing people thru yards, McClellan, Furman areas.  Something about a restaurant near that area, I thought all were closed by that time. Happy New Year,I think it's gonna be worse this year.

sadly this is not news  - it is the norm

as the police officer is not required to protect the individual, just society as a whole

supreme court ruling - http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/28scotus.html?_r=0

maybe the county legislature should turn Schenectady county in to a "shall carry county"

and

mandate a long rifle in every home like in Kennesaw GA

This is a gun law that I would support. Proven to lower crime by over 89%.

Schenectady would only need 15 cops.

2 women charged in theft of TV from Rotterdam Walmart
ROTTERDAM AND SCHENECTADY -- Rotterdam police have charged two women in the theft of a 46-inch television from Walmart on Altamont Avenue.

Police received a call at 9 p.m. on New Year's Day that a robbery had just occurred.

After an investigation, officers determined that two women had stolen the TV and one had implied to employees while fleeing the store that she had a gun.

The pair fled the store in a red Toyota Camry, which was located a short time later by Schenectady police on Pleasant Street in Schenectady.

The vehicle was occupied by Sarah Hughes, 31, of Spruce Street in Schenectady and Alisha Vanleuven, 29, of Hillside Avenue in Niskayuna.

They were taken into custody and charged with second-degree robbery, a class C felony. They were arraigned in Rotterdam Town Court and remanded to Schenectady County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

The TV was later recovered at a residence on George Street in Schenectady.

The investigation is continuing; police say further charges are expected.

PRICELESS....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
