 All City property owners got a early New Year's gift from Mayor McCheese and almost all DEM City council. Another tax/fee increase of 2%. So what if people struggled to pay last years taxes. So what if 700 City properties are in tax foreclosure including churches that can't pay the fees. So what if Mayor McCheese and Peggy King wanted an even bigger increase. Where are the cuts? Where is the consolidation? NOTHING. A clueless Mayor who truly "understands the importance of high taxes" and the worst DEM rubber stamps. BTW, horrible Denise Brucker is stepping down from the Council Chair because of "work duties". Too bad she doesn't step down from City Council. Name one accomplishment in her 4 terms? |

Get numbers right. The tax increase PLUS the fee increase is much higher than 2%. Anyone want to provide EVIDENCE to the contrary? |

The point is that Mayor McCheese and horrible Margaret King want to increase City taxes/fees even more. 700 homes foreclosed including several churches is not enough. No increase is enough for these DEM fiscal incompetents and no increase is acceptable as Vince Riggi has stated. How much higher than 2%? lol. |

Too many property owners sit home or worse "understand the importance of high taxes". Sooner or later they get a wake up call when they try and sell the property. |
