Cicero must really hate that Americans now have Health Care.

There is an expression:
"A republican can't really enjoy his meal unless he knows that some one somewhere is starving."

Cic fits that description... he has health care, and resents that others now will also have that benefit.

Much of ObamaCare has yet to be implemented.  This Oct will be the beginning for many of the countries
uninsured to have Health Insurance!

ObamaCare requires health insurers to spend at least 80 percent of collected premium dollars
on medical care. If not, they have to rebate the difference to the customer.
This year, insurers rebated slightly over $1 billion, or about $151 per person on average.

But box the majority wants it gone, that is always your argument Like I said all a sudden that doesn't matter to you, what a hypocrite.

If the majority wanted it gone, they wouldn't have voted for Obama in the first place.
If there was one issue that defined the 2008 Obama campaign, it was universal health care.

Oh BTW... I also want the present form of ObamaCare gone... If asked in a poll if I was happy
with Obama Care, I also would say NO.
I wanted the Universal Option that was originally proposed, but deleted by the Republicans.

I'll have to wait a few more years for that to be enacted.

First..........private insurance companies have to pay 'into obamacare'....aka...have to pay for the uninsured....not to mention cover the government mandates! Our insurance (at work) is going up 'substantially' with a much 'higher deductable'. (ALL DEDUCTABLES FOR ALL BOTH PRIVATE AND PUBLIC HEALTH CARE WILL INCREASE)

Second.......those who chose the government plan will be slightly cheaper BUT the health care will be minimal at best. Clinics are the new hospital...so to say. The medical staff at these clinics will be substandard.

We have MANY friends/family who are in all levels of the medical profession thru-out the country.....it ain't gonna be pretty.....REALLY!!! And it WILL NOT be sustainable so medical coverage will be minimal!

No matter how ya cut it.............there will be less medical care!!!

And this wasn't a rep/dem issue....it's a 'globalist' issue....it was all a dog and pony show!!!

Oh Well......................

They don't have healthcare, they have INSURANCE.

Healthcare is provided by people, not a pile of paper money.

People like box believe that qualified doctors are only working part time because there isn't enough money.

I didn't BLAME the source... I agreed with it.  Many Americans are upset because the GOP gutted
the original bill.

Since the passage of Obamacare some states are offering their own universal option... Vermont being
the latest.  The model from these state plans will likely be the one to be adopted by the rest of the
country.

Yes, of course, that's why Republicans and many "tea party" candidates took control of the House in 2010.  They were upset that Republicans gutted Obamacare.

You live in a strange reality box.

Fox News Poll: 56 percent want to go back to pre-ObamaCare system

Fox News Poll: Majority says families will be worse off under ObamaCare

Majorities of American voters say their family will be worse off under the Affordable Care Act, and think it would be better to go back to the pre-ObamaCare health care system.

A Fox News poll released Wednesday finds that while 26 percent of voters say their health care situation will be better under the new law, twice as many -- 53 percent -- say it will be worse.  Another 13 percent say it won’t make a difference.

The TeaBaggers in 2010 just follows the majority of mid term congressional elections for most of US history.
The newly elected party to the white house most often loses seats in the House in the first off year elections.
In the 19 mid-term elections held since 1934, only twice has the President's party gained

Oh, Ok.  Then all the goofy public opinion polls and millions of dollars spent campaigning is a waste of time and money.  Got it!    Maybe we should just pass legislation reducing the seats in congress to reflect the historical trend.  I've always agreed that it is a waste of time anyways.  We could save millions of dollars by limiting the number of democratic dog and pony shows.

If you smoke or you're overweight, have high cholesterol or high blood pressure, you could be forced to pay a lot more for health insurance, according to new regulations just issued by the Obama administration.

"For smoking, for being overweight, for being obese and basically, for generally not meeting the health guidelines, the employer can charge 30 percent more - for smoking, 50 percent more," explains John Goodman, President of the National Center for Policy Analysis in Dallas.

ObamaCare does prevent insurers from charging more for pre-existing conditions, or from charging as much as they currently do for older people who use more health care.

But when it comes to smoking and being overweight as well as other health problems, if employees don't participate in wellness programs, they could pay more.

Ed Haislmeier of the Heritage Foundation says "on the one hand they're trying to ban discrimination based on health status, but on the other hand they're trying to say that some discrimination based on health status is good discrimination."

Goodman adds that "it is definitely the nanny state trying to tell us what we're going to do, and unleashing the employers to be the agent of the government in telling us what we're going to do."

Smokers, of course, run up more health care bills than non-smokers. But that habit and some other unhealthy conditions are associated with lower incomes, so higher rates would hit those the administration was aiming to help.

"Allowing premium differentials based on these factors will push premiums higher primarily on people that will be struggling to pay the premiums in the first place," says Jim Capretta of the Ethics and Public Policy Center.

Many employers already offer wellness programs, but the new 123-page regulation tells them exactly how they must operate.

"This is just one more massive regulation on top of the thousands and thousands of pages that have already been issued that employers have to deal with," says Capretta. "I think the whole system is starting to choke on so many rules."

Ironically, on the day officials released the new regulations, a Rand Corporation study about wellness programs was released – and not with good news.

Goodman noted it was "a Rand Corporation study, which was paid for by the Obama administration, and called for in the affordable care act.

"And the Rand Corporation has studied wellness programs all over the country, and basically says they don't work."

In fact, the study found that those trying to lose weight in these programs lost an average of a pound a year. And although some employers offer gym memberships, those who take them are the ones using the gym already -- not those who need it most.
