$1 Trillion Obamacare Tax Hike Hitting on Jan. 1 On January 1, regardless of the outcome of fiscal cliff negotiations, Americans will be hit with a $1 trillion Obamacare tax hike.
Obamacare contains twenty new or higher taxes. Five of the taxes hit for the first time on January 1. In total, Americans face a net $1 trillion tax hike for the years 2013-2022, according to the Congressional Budget Office. The five major Obamacare taxes taking effect on January 1 are as follows: The Obamacare Medical Device Tax: Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year. In addition to killing small business jobs and impacting research and development budgets, this will increase the cost of your health care – making everything from pacemakers to artificial hips more expensive. The Obamacare Flex Account Tax: The 30-35 million Americans who use a pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at work to pay for their family’s basic medical needs will face a new government cap of $2500. This will squeeze $13 billion of tax money from Americans over the next ten years. (Currently, the accounts are unlimited under federal law, though employers are allowed to set a cap.) There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. There are several million families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education. This Obamacare tax provision will limit the options available to these families. The Obamacare Surtax on Investment Income: This is a new, 3.8 percentage point surtax on investment income earned in households making at least $250,000 ($200,000 single). This would result in the following top tax rates on investment income:.....................>>>>..................>>>>................Read more: http://atr.org/trillion-obamacare-tax-hike-hitting-jan-a7393#ixzz2GXg1AcBe

Your going to blame the GOP for Obamacare, the single biggest tax increase in U.S history? And here I thought the Clinton tax rates were all the rage with you leftists and that the Bush tax rates were only for the 'millionares and billionares' |

Ah... Where to start? To start, Obama Care is not the 'single biggest tax increase in US history'... but we already knew that. Ronald Reagan's 1982 tax was and still is the 'single biggest tax increase in US history'. As a percentage of GDP, Lyndon Johnson’s “Revenue and Expenditure Control Act of 1968,” and was primarily a one-year, 10 percent surcharge on both individual and corporate income taxes that expired in 1969.The 'single biggest tax increase in US history' hoax was a Druggy Rush original, then picked up by FoxSnooze and disseminated among the faithful viewers. Once the story is in Right Wing Land... it becomes a Conservative "TRUTH" regardless of the FACTS! |

what's even better is the taxpayers ACROSS THE BOARD hold the bag that allows the treatments that we think we need...
but,,,,guess what will happen to those purse strings when we find out
I can't afford you and you can't afford me......
YOU WILL BE RATED BASED ON THE GOVERNMENT'S (TAXPAYERS) TRICKLE DOWN TREATMENT....oh, there will be equalization of access to care...but that will be based on QUALIFIERS.....
SHOW YOUR PAPERS AND GET IN LINE COMRADE.....you will accept the decision they make for you..... |

CBO report shows Obamacare’s ballooning costs January 31, 2012 | Modified: January 31, 2012 at 2:00 pm Senior Editorial Writer The Washington Examiner @philipaklein A new report from the Congressional Budget Office provides us with fresh insight into how much worse President Obama’s national health care law made our nation’s spending crisis. When Democrats were reverse-engineering the health care law to meet Obama’s pledge that it would cost “around $900 billion,” one of the accounting tricks they used was to delay the enactment of the major spending provisions until 2014, to make the legislation appear cheaper over the CBO’s 10-year budget window (which at the time ran from 2010 through 2019). Today, the CBO released its updated budget and economic outlook that includes three additional years. Though the report doesn’t isolate the cost of Obamacare, it contains countless examples of how the law will put pressure on the budget. As demonstrated by this chart, overall, spending on federal health care programs will more than double, from $847 billion, or 5.5 percent of GDP, in 2012, to $1.8 trillion, or 7.3 percent of GDP, by 2022. Notice the spike starting in 2014, when Obamacare’s major spending provisions are scheduled to take effect. It’s true that a combination of health care inflation and the retirement of baby boomers would have driven up spending over the next decade no matter what. But Obamacare (formally known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) still made things worse. Some highlights from the CBO: -- Obamacare’s expansion of Medicaid eligibility will make the program far more costly: “Spending for the program will climb again in 2013 and will shoot up rapidly in 2014, 2015, and 2016 as a result of provisions in the Affordable Care Act. By 2022, under current law, federal outlays for Medicaid are expected to total $605 billion, more than twice the 2012 amount; spending will equal about 2.5 percent of GDP, compared with 1.7 percent this year.” http://washingtonexaminer.com/.....1100796#.UOCDCHeZN8w |

Extrapolating on that idea, it would seem the voters are ultimately responsible. And the non-voters as well for not opposing the voters. As box would say, they, is we. |

Obama care WOULD HAVE HAD A SINGLE PAYER OPTION except the GOP axed it. Instead we now have your winners... insurance companies involved. I still have hopes for the single payer option when Obama care proceeds. |

Dems had a filibuster proof congress. Not one rep voted for it. Insurance companies lobbied for dems(AARP). Dems and reps support corporatism(fascism). I know you are not comfortable with that reality. |

Lucia Harkenreader’s check landed in her mailbox last week: a rebate of $456.15 from her health insurance company, with a letter dryly explaining that the money came courtesy of the federal health care law. (OBAMACARE) The law requires insurers to give out annual rebates by Aug. 1, starting this year, if less than 80 percent of the premium dollars they collect go toward medical care. For insurers covering large employers, the threshold is 85 percent. As a result, insurers will pay out $1.1 billion this year, according to the Department of Health and Human Services God Bless Barack Hussein Obama and ObamaCare!!!
