Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the parking lot of Duane Lounge on Duane Ave in Schenectady.

Officers responded to several calls for shots fired around 12:45 Saturday morning. Shortly after arriving on scene, police got word from Ellis Hospital that they were treating a man, 33 year old Trevor Vaughn, for a gunshot wound to the leg.

The initial investigation revealed that a fight broke out between two groups outside of the bar, when the suspect fired several shots into the crowd. So far, no arrests have been made.

Police say they are looking for a black male last seen wearing a red jacket. Vaughn's current condition is unknown, but we're told his injuries are not life threatening

And certain non-taxpayer who cheer for spending the money of the taxpayers on downtown claim that downtown is much improving the city, but refuse to post and cite specifics

Does anyone feel a gun ban would have prevented this?

Gun buybacks may eliminate the posibility of a gun that is unwanted or unused getting stolen, but, the people involved in these incidents will never turn their's in.

Gun buyback's have some value, but limited in this regard

and even if they did there's no difference in the effect on one's life between severed tendons/muscles by a knife or
the effect of a gun shot.....

What a shocker! At the Duane Lounge. Another new anti-gun law on top of 3,500 anti-gun laws. That ought to solve it. Just ask Upchuck Schumer.
