Local gun shops: sales are up since Friday
Print Story Published: 12/19 10:11 pm Share Updated: 12/19 10:34 pm

You could call it a surprising reaction to the mass shooting in Newtown, Conn., but local sales of automatic assault rifles and high-capacity magazines are up.

Many gun owners are concerned the government could ban the type of weapon used in the massacre.

Employees at Taylor and Vadney in Rotterdam say more customers have been asking for those weapons specifically. The owner, Pat Popolizio, declined to tell us how many he had sold, but would say he is having trouble keeping up with demand.

Popolizio says his customers have a right to have them and use them responsibly. ................>>>>..................>>>>..................http://www.fox23news.com/news/.....tbHA2rhw.cspx?rss=39

Guns Out of Stock at Wal-Mart as Magazine Prices Surge on
By Matt Townsend - Dec 19, 2012 2:16 PM ET

Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. Photographer: Paul Taggart/Bloomberg
Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retailer, said yesterday that it would continue to sell guns, including rifles like the one used at Newtown, where 26 people, most of them children, were killed on Dec. 14. By contrast, Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS) suspended sales of similar guns at its more than 500 stores.
Searches of five kinds of semi-automatic rifles on Wal- Mart’s website showed them to be out of stock at stores in five states, including Pennsylvania, Kansas and Alabama. Wal-Mart doesn’t sell guns online, instead asking customers to input a zip code to see if their local store carries a specific weapon.......................>>>>.......................>>>>................http://www.bloomberg.com/news/.....prices-surge-on.html

Demand for firearms are at a all time high no matter what BS the media has been saying. One thing the media likes to show is the so called success of the gun buy back programs recently, they won't admit though that the success has mostly to do with the holidays, people need money and guess what is a high demand item for Christmas presents...new firearms

Sorry Henry, but ya got your facts wrong yet again.

But,
I've never posted (as you accuse)
"Blood thirsty savages"

I don't mind being quoted, but at least use my words not the ones that you IMAGINE ME POSTING!

There is no such thing as an 'assault rifle'

No I meant WE as in "WE THE PEOPLE"... THE US GOVERNMENT is US, WE, AMERICA, all of us.
(well all of us except for those who oppose OUR govt.  They refuse to participate so they
exclude themselves from "WE"!

It's a shame you so easily comform with collective rules made by an elite illegitimate minority.  It's not "our" government, it is THE government which made most of the rules and regulations to control my life WELL before I was born.

If you go to another country and live on a Visa, is it "their" government or are you now part of that government and required to live by their rules?  How about illegals in this country?  Is it still "our" government to the illegal?  Are they part of the "we the people"?  They pay taxes but can't vote, so is the rules and regulations they are living under legitimate?  A lot of illegals are in jail for violating laws passed without having a voting for a representative. They didn't vote, but they contribute in taxes and have access to our social systems.

All very confusing trying to figure out when you are "we the people" or a subject to "the" government.

I understand Cicero... Much of the world is 'confusing' to you.
I'm a "WE" when it comes to 'our' government.  When GWB invaded Iraq, I was against that move and I
condemned it vigorously, but "I" as an American citizen was still responsible for that action even though I
opposed it.

"YOU" on the other hand consider yourself an "I".  You want to bail out of schools, taxes, any type of
welfare or social program... You consider this country made up of a collection of "I's"... which is part of
the reason you are often "confused" concerning much of life.

If you truly believe that, then you must feel that civilians from either country in a conflict are fair game for retribution, right?

Nothing that I posted would lead anyone to believe that.  No where do I post about your concept of
"retribution".
You are entitled to your opinions, but please, don't attribute your 'opinions' to me.  The conclusions you
draw from my words are "YOURS, NOT MINE".
